Common use of Work Performed on General Holiday Clause in Contracts

Work Performed on General Holiday. When a general holiday falls on a regular work day or on a call day (sixth day), and the employee works on that day, such employee is credited with one and one-half times the actual hours worked with a minimum of four and one-half straight-time hours. Such hours shall be included in making up the four-week guarantee. In addition, the employee will be paid eight hours at the pro rata hourly rate for the holiday, which time excluded in making up the four-week guarantee. Service on such day shall be confined to work of an emergency nature or for the maintenance of customers' service.
