Personal Holiday. Each employee is entitled to a personal holiday as governed by the provisions of section 110.117, Florida Statutes.
Personal Holiday. (1) Each employee may request one personal holiday each calendar year and the Manager must grant this day, provided:
(a) The employee has been continuously employed by the institution for more than four months;
(b) The employee has made the request in accordance with the department scheduling guidelines; however, the employee and the supervisor may agree upon an earlier date; and
(c) The number of employees selecting a particular day off does not prevent providing continued public service.
(2) Entitlement to the holiday will not lapse when denied under (1)(c) above.
(3) Full-time employees shall receive eight hours of regular holiday pay for the personal holiday. Any differences between the scheduled shift for the day and eight hours may be adjusted by use of vacation leave, use or accumulation of compensatory time as appropriate, or leave without pay.
(4) Part-time classified employees shall be entitled to the number of paid hours on a personal holiday that are pro-rated to their FTE.
Personal Holiday. A. Each employee may select one personal holiday each calendar year in accordance with the following:
1) The employee has been continuously employed by the University for more than four (4) months;
2) The employee has requested and been approved to take the personal holiday in accordance with Article 17
Personal Holiday. Employees shall be credited a personal holiday on July 1 that must be taken by the end of each fiscal year.
Personal Holiday. The Employer may designate other days to be observed in lieu of the above holidays.
Personal Holiday. (1) Each employee may select one personal holiday each calendar year in accordance with the following:
(a) The employee has been continuously employed by the institution for more than four (4) months;
(b) The employee has given not less than fourteen (14) calendar days written notice to the supervisor; provided, however, the employee and the supervisor may agree upon an earlier date; and
(c) The number of employees selecting a particular day off does not prevent providing continued public service.
(2) It is the employee’s responsibility to schedule the Personal Holiday before December 31st, if not requested it is forfeited.
(3) Entitlement to the holiday will not lapse when it is cancelled by the Employer and cannot be rescheduled before December 31st.
(4) Full-time employees shall receive eight (8) hours of regular holiday pay for the personal holiday. Any differences between the scheduled shift for the day and eight (8) hours may be adjusted by use of vacation leave, use or accumulation of compensatory time as appropriate, or leave without pay.
(5) Part-time employees shall be entitled to a pro-rated number of paid hours on a Personal Holiday based on their FTE.
Personal Holiday. An employee requesting a given workday date as the personal holiday must do so at least fourteen (14) calendar days in advance. The Employer shall endeavor to grant such requests subject to store operational requirements. The Employer will grant such holiday time off with pay to the senior requesting employee(s). Personal holiday dates, once granted for that year, will become permanent fourteen (14) calendar days prior, and no senior employee(s) shall have a right to such date. Personal holidays are expected to be scheduled and taken and shall not be cumulative from year to year. In cases where an employee has been scheduled for a personal holiday, and the Employer cancels such holiday, the employee will receive holiday pay in accordance with the provisions of Paragraph 9.2, below. Mutual rescheduling may be undertaken in lieu of holiday pay. Employees who terminate for reasons other than proven or admitted dishonesty shall be paid for all unused personal holidays.
Personal Holiday. A. Each employee may select one (1) personal holiday each calendar year, under the following conditions:
1. The employee has been or is scheduled to be continuously employed by the state for more than four (4) months;
2. The employee has given not less than fourteen (14) calendar days’ notice to the supervisor; provided, however, the employee and the supervisor may agree upon an earlier date; and
3. The number of employees selecting a particular day off allows an agency to continue its work efficiently.
B. Entitlement to the holiday will not lapse when denied under Subsection A.3, above.
C. Full-time, alternate work schedule employees shall receive regular pay for each personal holiday.
D. Part-time employees shall be entitled to the number of paid hours on a personal holiday that their monthly schedule bears to a full-time schedule.
E. Part or all of a personal holiday may be donated to another employee for shared leave. That portion of a personal holiday that is accrued, donated as shared leave, and then returned during the same calendar year to the donating employee, may be taken by the donating employee.
F. A personal holiday for full-time employees will be equivalent to their permanent work shift on the day selected for personal holiday absence.
G. Upon request, an employee will be approved to use part or all of their personal holiday for:
1. The care of family members as required by the Family Care Act, WAC 296-130;
2. Leave as required by the Family Military Leave Act, RCW 49.77 and in accordance with Article 18, Section 18.12; or
3. Leave as required by the Domestic Violence Leave Act, RCW 49.76.
Personal Holiday. Effective January 1 for each year of this Agreement, regular full time employees shall receive eight (8) hours of non-cashable annual leave as a personal holiday. The personal holiday has no cash value.
Personal Holiday. Regular employees whose budgeted full-time equivalent (FTE) is equal to or greater than 0.5 (50%) are entitled to one (1) personal holiday each calendar year. Such holiday is to be taken during the calendar year in which the holiday is earned and may not be carried forward into the following year. The personal holiday shall be scheduled in accordance with Article 7, Section 4, Scheduling Vacations.
