Work Year (2019. 1. The work year for regular teachers shall be one hundred eighty-three (l83) total days and one hundred eighty-four (184) days for new teachers [five (5) additional days per year at each bargaining unit member's per diem rate can be scheduled annually by the Board, at the Board's discretion, as part of the annual school calendar]. Days, in addition, shall be paid by extended time contract on a per diem rate basis. Make-up days are adopted as part of the annual Board adopted calendar with any days of school closing due to calamity not being scheduled for make- up days. 2. One and one-half (1-1/2) of the three (3) non-student days shall be used for LPDC coordinated inservice and shall be set during the school year and made part of the school calendar. Teachers will be relieved of all duties on one (1) half day, as scheduled by the Superintendent. The third day shall be Convocation Day. Convocation Day shall be scheduled at the beginning of each school year on the day prior to student school beginning with the program as in the past. 3. A one-half (1/2) day teacher check out at the end of the year will be required on the weekday immediately following the end of the student school year. All check-out paperwork, requisition forms, etc., shall be supplied to teachers ten (10) days prior to the end of the student school year.

  • Work Year The full-time work year for all employees employed in EA and ECE job classes shall be a minimum of 194 work days to correspond with the school year calendar.

  • Year 2000 The Borrower has made a full and complete assessment of the Year 2000 Issues and has a realistic and achievable program for remediating the Year 2000 Issues on a timely basis (the "Year 2000 Program"). Based on such assessment and on the Year 2000 Program the Borrower does not reasonably anticipate that Year 2000 Issues will have a Material Adverse Effect.

  • Work Week The work week will begin at 12:00 a.m. on Sunday and end at 11:59 p.m. the following Saturday.

  • Annual Allowance The Corporation shall pay to the Executive, in cash, in a lump sum, on the Payment Date an amount equal to two times the annual allowance to which the Executive is entitled as of the date of the Date of Termination (or, if higher, as of immediately prior to the Effective Date).

  • Contract Year A twelve (12) month period during the term of the Agreement commencing on the Effective Date and each anniversary thereof.

  • Modified Work/Return to Work (a) The normal retirement age is sixty-five (65) years of age. The Employer may continue to employ an employee beyond retirement age, if the Employer determines that the employee can satisfactorily perform the requirements of her classification. (Effective December 12, 2006, the parties agree this sub- section no longer applies). (b) The parties recognize the duty of reasonable accommodation for individuals under the Human Rights Code of Ontario and agree that this Collective Agreement will be interpreted in such a way as to permit the Employer and the Union to discharge that duty. (c) If an employee becomes disabled, including WSIB, with the result that she is unable to perform the regular functions of her position, the Employer may determine a special classification and salary, with the hope of providing an opportunity for continued employment. Positions established under this article will not constitute new classifications and shall lapse upon the termination, resignation, or retirement of the employee in question. (d) Prior to any disabled employee returning to work from a disability including WSIB to a modified/light/alternate work program, the Employer will notify and meet with members of the bargaining unit executive to consult on a back to work program for the worker. Any agreement resulting from these discussions which conflicts with the collective agreement shall, subject to agreement by the Union, prevail over any provision of this agreement in the event of a conflict. Nothing in this language obligates the Employer to establish a modified/light/ alternative work program, except as required by law.

  • Modified Work/Return to Work Programs The Employer and the Union recognize the purpose of modified work/return to work programs, is to provide fair and consistent practices for accommodating nurses who have been ill, injured or permanently disabled, to enable their safe return to work. The parties undertake to provide safe and meaningful employment for all nurses based on the following objectives and principles:

  • Year 2000 Problem The Company and its Subsidiaries have reviewed the areas within their business and operations which could be adversely affected by, and have developed or are developing a program to address on a timely basis, the "Year 2000 Problem" (that is, the risk that computer applications used by the Company and its Subsidiaries may be unable to recognize and perform properly date-sensitive functions involving certain dates prior to and any date after December 31, 1999). Based on such review and program, the Company reasonably believes that the "Year 2000 Problem" will not have a Material Adverse Effect.

  • Budget Consulting Engineer/Architect shall advise City if, in its opinion, the amount budgeted for construction is not sufficient to adequately design and construct the improvement as requested.

  • Maximum Annual Operating Expense Limit The Maximum Annual Operating Expense Limit with respect to each Fund shall be the amount specified in Schedule A based on a percentage of the average daily net assets of each Fund.
