Workforce Advising. To ensure that all members of the workforce receiving support through the QCC Workforce Pathways Grant-Higher Education service area funded by this contract, all participants will have the opportunity to meet with an advisor to develop a Professional Development (PD), Professional Growth or Education Plan (plans must include a section to establish personal goals and objectives). The advisor will ensure that members of the workforce participating in the QCC Workforce Pathways Grant have an attainable plan to complete a course of study that effectively and efficiently meets their educational goals.

Workforce Advising. Provide the opportunity for all students benefiting from the funded coursework to meet with an advisor to develop a Professional Growth Plan or Education Plan. The plan must include a section to establish personal goals and objectives. The advisor will help students to connect with an academic counselor if they need assistance with general education courses to meet their early childhood educational goals. See Appendix A & B for plan templates that can be used. A different form can be used if mutually agreed upon by Las Positas College and the ACOE. The academic advisor will encourage working students to apply for the Alameda County Quality Counts Workforce Stipend Program (xxxxx://xxx.xxxxxxxxxx.xxx/). The advisor supports students in creating a Workforce Registry number and updating their records to reflect child development permit and coursework completed.

  • Workforce Development MPC’s technical training program is having a major impact in the region. Online modules, short courses, webinars, and on site/videoconferencing events are reaching state and local transportation department employees and tribal transportation planners. By harnessing the capabilities of the four LTAP centers located at the MPC universities and the multimedia capabilities of the Transportation Learning Network (which was founded and is partly funded by MPC) more than 76 technical training events were offered in the second half of 2015. These training modules and short courses are critical to transportation agencies that need to improve or renew the skills of engineering technicians and other frontline workers. Many MPC courses or training events result in the certification of workers. Even when certification is not required, TLN’s online learning management systems allow employees and employers to set learning goals and monitor progress towards these goals. MPC is making another major impact in workforce development. Altogether, 57 graduate students are working on MPC research projects under the tutelage of faculty researchers. These graduate students represent the researchers and technical analysts of tomorrow. Without the MPC program and the stipend funds that it provides, these students may not be specializing in transportation; but, instead would be seeking career opportunities in other fields. The MPC research program allows faculty to mentor graduate students while allowing the students to work on projects for federal and state transportation agencies—thereby, gaining valuable practical experience.

  • Consultant Responsibilities 12.1. Consultant must make prompt payment for any claims for labor, materials, or services furnished to Consultant by any person in connection with this Agreement as such claims become due. Consultant shall not permit any liens or claims to be filed or prosecuted against the City on account of any labor or material furnished to or on behalf of Consultant. If Consultant fails, neglects, or refuses to make prompt payment of any such claim, the City may, but shall not be obligated to, pay such claim to the person furnishing the labor, materials, or services and offset the amount of the payment against funds due or to become due to Consultant under this Agreement. The City may also recover any such amounts directly from Consultant.

  • WORKFORCE REDUCTION In the event that funding reductions or shortfalls in funding occur in a department or are expected, which may result in layoffs, the department will notify the union and take the following actions:

  • MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITIES 7.01 Except to the extent provided herein, this Agreement in no way restricts the Employer in the management and direction of the Public Service.

The CONSULTANT shall, without additional compensation, correct or revise any errors or deficiencies in its services. However, the STATE may in certain circumstances, provide compensation for such work.
