Common use of WSIB Clause in Contracts

WSIB. An employee who is injured in the course of their duties will have their Workers Safety Insurance salary award supplemented from their sick leave credits to provide for payment of their full salary, until the sick leave credits have been exhausted. In the event an employee does not wish to use their sick leave credits in this manner, they shall receive their Workers Safety Insurance salary award, and there shall be no deduction from their sick leave credits. Written notification selecting this latter option must be given to the Health and Disability Officer at the time the accident is reported.
