Common use of XXXX Deduction Clause in Contracts

XXXX Deduction. The Board agrees, if on file in the Business Office by October 15, to honor contribution deduction authorization from its Psychologists in the following form (or reasonable likeness, if the parties agree): I hereby authorize the Board of Education to deduct from my salary, during the last pay period in October only, the sum of $ and to forward that amount to the Lake County Federation of Teachers, Committee on Political Education (COPE). This authorization shall continue in effect from year to year unless revoked by me in writing prior to October 15 of any school year, or upon termination of my employment. This authorization is voluntarily made on the specific understanding that the signing of this authorization and the making of payment to the COPE are not conditions of membership in the Union or of employment with the District.
