Academic Software definition

Academic Software means Software that is identified as “Academic Edition” or “Academic License” (or words of similar meaning).

Examples of Academic Software in a sentence

  • You may not sell, barter or otherwise transfer Academic Software.

  • For Academic Software, Bentley hereby grants you a non-exclusive right and license to use in object code form such Academic Software for Academic Related Use only.

  • In the event that Academic Software is no longer covered by a valid Bentley Academic SELECT Program Agreement (or predecessor or successor agreement) due to termination of such agreement or any other reason, then you will lose those incremental benefits, and your license rights will only be as set forth in this XXXX.

  • If you have covered the Academic Software subject to this XXXX pursuant to a valid Bentley Academic SELECT Program Agreement (or predecessor or successor agreement) with Bentley then you may be entitled to additional and incremental licensing benefits to those set forth in this XXXX by virtue of that relationship.

  • If: (i) you obtained the Deliverables from an ARM authorised reseller or other third party; (ii) the Deliverables were provided free of charge; (iii) it is Academic Software (identified in Clause 2); or (iv) it is evaluation Deliverables (identified in Clause 3), you are not entitled to support and maintenance for the Deliverables from ARM, but ARM may, at its sole discretion provide limited support to you.

  • If you have special software needs to accommodate your textbooks, please contact the Academic Xxxx to follow the Academic Software approval process.

  • The Academic Software shall not be used for any commercial activity.

  • Academic Software offers a platform to educational institutions on which they (as well as their staff members, teachers/lecturers and students) can download and/or use a broad collection of software, cloud applications and tools for a fixed fee.

  • If you have covered the Academic Software subject to this XXXX pursuant to a valid Bentley Academic SELECT Program Agreement (or predecessor or successor agreement) with Xxxxxxx then you may be entitled to additional and incremental licensing benefits to those set forth in this XXXX by virtue of that relationship.

  • In case the Educational Institution charges the Fee to the Users, Academic Software will in no case be responsible for the payment thereof by the Users.

Related to Academic Software

  • Licensed Software includes error corrections, upgrades, enhancements or new releases, and any deliverables due under a maintenance or service contract (e.g., patches, fixes, PTFs, programs, code or data conversion, or custom programming).

  • Custom Software means Software identified as such in Appendix 4 of the Contract Agreement and such other Software as the parties may agree in writing to be Custom Software.

  • Third Party Software means software which is proprietary to any third party (other than an Affiliate of the Contractor) which is or will be used by the Contractor for the purposes of providing the Services.

  • Open Source Software means software or similar subject matter that is distributed under an open source license such as (by way of example only) the GNU General Public License, GNU Lesser General Public License, Apache License, Mozilla Public License, BSD License, MIT License, Common Public License, any derivative of any of the foregoing licenses, or any other license approved as an open source license by the Open Source Initiative or as a free software license by the Free Software Foundation.

  • Software means computer programs, whether in source code or object code form (including any and all software implementation of algorithms, models and methodologies), databases and compilations (including any and all data and collections of data), and all documentation (including user manuals and training materials) related to the foregoing.

  • Font Software means the software provided by Branding with Type which, when used on an appropriate Device or Devices, generates typeface and typographic designs and ornaments. Font Software shall include all bitmap representations of typeface and typographic designs and ornaments created by or derived from the Font Software. Font Software includes upgrades, updates, related files, permitted copies, permitted conversions, and related documentation.
