Academic Use means use of the Education Products for teaching and learning purposes and for Scholarly Research.
Academic Use means the benefiting from a Subscription Offering by an Academic Institution.
Academic Use means the use of the software (i) in the delivery of non-profit, educational classes involving the development, analysis, building and/or testing of software code; and (ii) for the purpose of developing, analyzing, building and testing programming code being developed as part of non-profit academic research. “Academic Use” expressly excludes any use by You for any purpose related to any for-profit activity and/or for-profit entity.
Examples of Academic Use in a sentence
For Academic Use of DS Offering, User means (i) any individual who works for Customer and is dedicated either to education or research or (ii) any individual regularly enrolled as a bona fide student in Customer’s academic program.
Content produced using any DS Offerings for Academic Use may automatically contain a watermark identifying the DS Offering used.
Same use is authorized for Users of a Customer entitled to Academic Use of the DS Offerings.
Academic Use can only be granted to a Customer that is an institution of education and/or research and that grants academic degrees (diploma or certificate) at any primary, secondary or higher education level.
Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in Section 2, DS Offerings for Academic Use or Fundamental Research Use shall not be used, directly or indirectly, for any commercial purpose of Customer or any third party.
More Definitions of Academic Use
Academic Use means the use to the benefit of academic reports (e.g. studies, results and digital and/or interactive presentations), including the performance of calculations and decisions based on the Agri-footprint 5.0 data whether or not End User will use these calculations or decisions in his/her reports. Limited commercial use means the use of the Agri-footprint 5.0 data to perform calculations as output that are to be shared with your company’s/university’s clients or customers, in exchange of a fee.
Academic Use means use (i) by an individual employed by (or, with respect to academic institutions, enrolled in a course of study at) an accredited academic institution, organized and operated exclusively for the purpose of education or research, (ii) at the location of such academic institution, and (iii) solely for purposes directly related to teaching, training, degree- granting programs, and research and development that are part of the instructional functions of the institution. Without limiting the foregoing, Academic Licenses may not be used for commercial, professional or productive purposes, for commercial training or any other for- profit purposes. You agree that you will not sell, assign, license, sublicense, transfer, pledge, lease, rent or share your rights under this Agreement nor will you distribute copies of the Software or any parts thereof. Rights not specifically granted herein, are specifically prohibited.
Academic Use any non-commercial use, including: - teaching activities delivered by academic institutions to students for certification purposes, using the Software in object code, - research work and/or research study based on or done with the Software.
Academic Use means use by a User who fulfils the criteria set by the national identity organizations for Academic users.

(i) by an individual employed by (or, with respect to academic institutions, enrolled in a full-time course of study at) an accredited academic institution organized 1 NUMERICS Software GmbH, Commercial Register: Xxxxxxxxxxx Xxxxxxx, XXX 000000; Registered Office: Petershausen, Germany; Managing Director: Dr. Xxxxxx Xxxxxxxx and operated exclusively for the purpose of teaching,
(ii) at the location of such academic institution, and
(iii) for research purposes that do not, directly or indirectly, support any commercial efforts or any commercial enterprise.
Academic Use means use of the Software, governed by a binding, signed agreement substantially as protective of PDL's rights as the form attached hereto as Exhibit B ("Academic License Agreement"), by Lxxxxx'x students and professional colleagues under Lxxxxx'x supervision ("Academic Users") for academic, non-commercial purposes or in the course of Lxxxxx'x consulting work for companies other than commercial companies.
