Academic Use definition

Academic Use means use of the Education Products for teaching and learning purposes and for Scholarly Research.
Academic Use means the benefiting from a Subscription Offering by an Academic Institution.
Academic Use means the use of the software (i) in the delivery of non-profit, educational classes involving the development, analysis, building and/or testing of software code; and (ii) for the purpose of developing, analyzing, building and testing programming code being developed as part of non-profit academic research. “Academic Use” expressly excludes any use by You for any purpose related to any for-profit activity and/or for-profit entity.

More Definitions of Academic Use

Academic Use means the use to the benefit of academic reports (e.g. studies, results and digital and/or interactive presentations), including the performance of calculations and decisions based on the Agri-footprint 5.0 data whether or not End User will use these calculations or decisions in his/her reports. Limited commercial use means the use of the Agri-footprint 5.0 data to perform calculations as output that are to be shared with your company’s/university’s clients or customers, in exchange of a fee.
Academic Use means use by a User who fulfils the criteria set by the national identity organizations for Academic users.
Academic Use means a use that relates to or is consistent with the mission of the University.
Academic Use means use (i) by an individual employed by (or, with respect to academic institutions, enrolled in a course of study at) an accredited academic institution, organized and operated exclusively for the purpose of education or research, (ii) at the location of such academic institution, and (iii) solely for purposes directly related to teaching, training, degree- granting programs, and research and development that are part of the instructional functions of the institution. Without limiting the foregoing, Academic Licenses may not be used for commercial, professional or productive purposes, for commercial training or any other for- profit purposes. You agree that you will not sell, assign, license, sublicense, transfer, pledge, lease, rent or share your rights under this Agreement nor will you distribute copies of the Software or any parts thereof. Rights not specifically granted herein, are specifically prohibited.

Academic Use means use by enrolled students, faculty members, or affiliated researchers in an accredited non-profit, degree-granting institution for academic research or instruction only. Feature Labs may, in its discretion, provide access to “Academic-Use Products” pursuant to an Academic License. Pursuant to such an Academic License, Feature Labs may, in its discretion, provide additional code to Licensee, all of which is Feature Labs Code. Academic-Use Products may be made available as installed software, through a web interface, or some combination thereof, but all of which, taken together, is Feature Labs Code. In addition, Feature Labs may provide consultations and assistance in connection with an Academic License, in its discretion and on an as-available basis, subject to this Agreement. Unless otherwise specified in an Order Form, Licensee may only use Academic-Use Products on a non- production basis for Academic Use, and for no more than 1 year from the Effective Date. Any research published or public usage of Academic-Use Products or output from such products must include an acknowledgement substantially similar to: “Feature Labs technology used for academic purposes with permission of Feature Labs, Inc.” The following Sections of this Agreement do not apply to Academic- Use Products: first 2 paragraphs of Section 7 (WARRANTY AND DISCLAIMERS) and 11 (INDEMNIFICATION).
