Acceptable Wastes definition

Acceptable Wastes shall have the meaning set forth in Section 2.2(a).
Acceptable Wastes means all solid wastes that can be placed into thirty-five (35) gallon refuse containers or plastic bags to be transported by a commercial contractor to either a State approved landfill or incinerator, excluding, however, inherently dangerous, toxic, and hazardous wastes that shall from time to time be designated as “hazardous wastes” by State and/or Federal regulatory authorities having appropriate jurisdiction. Specifically excluded from acceptable wastes shall be the following.

Examples of Acceptable Wastes in a sentence

  • All Acceptable Wastes from any County Collection Site shall be treated as County Waste.

  • All County Waste (including Acceptable Wastes from any County Collection Site) shall be accepted at the Landfill at the tipping fees set forth for County Waste on Exhibit B.

  • The percentages of Acceptable Wastes received, processed, diverted and/or recycled for purposes of compliance with various reporting mandates.

  • A summary of the above-mentioned data for each city within the County of Tuolumne or other entity outside the Service Area that delivers Acceptable Wastes to the Transfer Facility.

  • Followingreceipt of written approval of its initial application, an Issuing Credit Union must prepare an Offering Document for each issuance of Subordinated Debt Notes.

  • During the shutdown, temporary alternative disposal options may be made by the TOWN to dispose of Acceptable Wastes.

  • Contractor will make the Satellite Facility available to the Transportation Subcontractor and cause the Trailers to be loaded with Acceptable Wastes from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Saturday of each week, and from 9:00 am to 4 pm on Sunday of each week, but not including holidays on which the Satellite Facility is closed.

  • Company shall construct, permit, operate and maintain a recycling drop off center at the Landfill (the “Recycling Center”) for the recycling of applicable Acceptable Wastes, including newspapers, mixed paper, magazines and catalogs, aluminum cans, steel and tin cans, glass, plastic bottles, metals, and cardboard.

  • Before submitting any proposal, the Proposer should (a) verify the number of participating Cities, volumes (tonnage) of Acceptable Wastes to be disposed of (b) arrive at a clear understanding of the conditions under which the Services are to be provided, and (c)complete any other investigations and inquiries as deemed necessary by the Proposer prior to submitting a proposal.

  • USE shall comply with all applicable Federal, State and local environmental statutes, regulations, and other governmental requirements, as well as directives issued in writing by the Transportation and Disposal Company from time to time, governing the transportation, treatment and/or disposal of Acceptable Wastes, including, but not limited to, all packaging, manifesting, containerization, placarding and labeling requirements for which USE is responsible under such environmental laws.

Related to Acceptable Wastes

  • Acceptable Waste means ordinary household, municipal, institutional, commercial and industrial Solid Waste including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Unacceptable Waste means all waste not authorized for disposal at the Columbia Ridge Landfill and Recycling Center or successor site designated by the City, by those governmental entities having jurisdiction or any waste the disposal of which would constitute a violation of any governmental requirement pertaining to the environment, health or safety. Unacceptable Waste includes any waste that is now or hereafter defined by federal law or by the disposal jurisdiction as radioactive, dangerous, hazardous or extremely hazardous waste and vehicle tires in excess of those permitted to be disposed of by the laws of the disposal jurisdiction.

  • Infectious waste means a solid waste that contains or may reasonably be

  • e-waste means electrical and electronic equipment, whole or in part discarded as waste by the consumer or bulk consumer as well as rejects from manufacturing, refurbishment and repair processes;

  • Medical Waste means isolation wastes, infectious agents, human blood and blood products, pathological wastes, sharps, body parts, contaminated bedding, surgical wastes, potentially contaminated laboratory wastes, and dialysis wastes.

  • Hazardous Wastes means all waste materials subject to regulation under CERCLA, RCRA or applicable state law, and any other applicable Federal and state laws now in force or hereafter enacted relating to hazardous waste disposal.

  • Household Hazardous Waste means any waste material derived from households (including single

  • Animal waste means any waste consisting of animal matter that has not been processed into food for human consumption.

  • Hazardous Waste means the substances regulated as such pursuant to any Environmental Law.

  • Putrescible waste means a solid waste that contains organic matter capable of being decomposed by microorganisms so as to cause a malodor, gases, or other offensive conditions, or which is capable of providing food for birds and other vectors. Putrescible wastes may form a contaminated leachate from microbiological degradation, chemical processes, and physical processes. Putrescible waste includes, but is not limited to, garbage, offal, dead animals, general household waste, and commercial waste. All solid wastes which do not meet the definitions of inert or chemical wastes shall be considered putrescible wastes.

  • Low-level radioactive waste or “waste” means radioactive material that consists of or contains class A, B, or C radioactive waste as defined by 10 C.F.R. 61.55, as in effect on January 26, 1983, but does not include waste or material that is any of the following:

  • Universal waste transporter means a person engaged in the off-site transportation of universal waste by air, rail, highway, or water.

  • Hazardous Waste Management Facility means, as defined in NCGS 130A, Article 9, a facility for the collection, storage, processing, treatment, recycling, recovery, or disposal of hazardous waste.

  • Industrial wastes means the liquid wastes from industrial manufacturing processes, trade, or business as distinct from sanitary sewage.

  • Special Waste means those substances as defined in the Illinois Environmental Protection Act, 415 ILCS 5/3.45, and further defined in Section 809.103 or 35 Illinois Administrative Code, Subtitle G, Ch.1.

  • Criteria pollutant means a pollut- ant for which the Administrator has promulgated a national ambient air quality standard pursuant to 42 U.S.C. 7409 (i.e., ozone, lead, sulfur dioxide, particulate matter, carbon monoxide, nitrogen dioxide).

  • Cannabis waste means waste that is not hazardous waste, as defined in Public Resources Code section 40141, that contains cannabis and that has been made unusable and unrecognizable in the manner prescribed in sections 5054 and 5055 of this division.

  • toxic waste or "toxic substance" under any provision of Environmental Law and shall also include, without limitation, petroleum, petroleum products, asbestos, polychlorinated biphenyls and radioactive materials;

  • Pathological waste means waste material consisting of only human or animal remains, anatomical parts, and/or tissue, the bags/containers used to collect and transport the waste material, and animal bedding (if applicable).

  • general waste means waste that does not pose an immediate hazard or threat to health or to the environment, and includes-

  • Commercial Waste means waste from premises used wholly or mainly for the purposes of a trade or business or for the purposes of sport, recreation, education or entertainment but does not include household, agricultural or industrial waste;

  • Biomedical Waste means biomedical waste as defined in the Ontario Ministry of the Environment Guideline C-4 entitled “The Management of Biomedical Waste in Ontario” dated April 1994, as amended from time to time;

  • Industrial waste means any liquid, gaseous, radioactive, or solid waste substance resulting from any process of industry, manufacturing, trade, or business or from the development of any natural resource.

  • Excluded Waste means waste material of the nature that the Project is not designed or authorised to receive, manage, process and dispose which includes (i) Hazardous Waste, (ii) Bio-Medical Waste (iii) Dead Remains, (iv) E- Waste and (v) construction and demolition waste;

  • Universal waste means any of the following hazardous wastes that are managed pursuant to the universal waste requirements of 35 Ill. Adm. Code 733:

  • Domestic Waste ’ means waste, excluding hazardous waste, that emanates from premises that are used wholly or mainly for residential, educational, health care, sport or recreation purposes, which include:
