Adult Home definition

Adult Home means an adult care facility licensed as an adult home by the Department of Health pursuant to Social Services Law Article 7.
Adult Home means an adult-care facility established and operated for the purpose of providing long-term residential care, room, board, housekeeping, personal care and supervision to five or more adults unrelated to the operator. SSL §2 (25); 18 NYCRR § 485.2(b).
Adult Home or "Adult family home" means a residential home, licensed by Washington State, to provide personal care to up to six adults.

Adult Home means the 42-bed adult home which includes the 11 ALP beds and associated limited license LHCSA operated by ACF.

A “Person with Serious Mental Illness” means an individual who meets criteria established by the Commissioner of Mental Health, which shall be persons who have a designated diagnosis of mental illness under the most recent edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (but not a primary diagnosis of alcohol or drug disorders, organic brain syndromes, developmental disabilities or social conditions) and whose severity and duration of mental illness results in substantial functional disability.

However, no family day home shall care for more than four children under the age of two, including the provider's own children and any children who reside in the home, unless the family day home is licensed or voluntarily registered. However, a family day home where the children in care are all related to the provider by blood or marriage shall not be required to be licensed.

  • Abbeyfield Home means an establishment run by the Abbeyfield Society including all bodies corporate or unincorporated which are affiliated to that society;

A family child care home does not include an individual providing babysitting services for another individual. As used in this subparagraph, "providing babysitting services" means caring for a child on behalf of the child's parent or guardian if the annual compensation for providing those services does not equal or exceed $600.00 or an amount that would according to the internal revenue code of 1986 obligate the child's parent or guardian to provide a form 1099-MISC to the individual for compensation paid during the calendar year for those services.

  • Adult caregiver means an adult person whom a parent has au- thorized to provide temporary care for a child under Family Code Chapter 34. Family Code 34.0015(1)
