Antibody definition

Antibody means a molecule or a gene encoding such a molecule comprising or containing one or more immunoglobulin variable domains or parts of such domains or any existing or future fragments, variants, modifications or derivatives thereof.
Antibody means an antibody, whether polyclonal or monoclonal, multiple or single chain, recombinant or naturally occurring, whole or fragment, and any variants, derivatives or constructs thereof, including but not limited to, antigen binding portions including Fab, Fab’, F(ab’)2, Fv, dAb and CDR fragments, single chain antibodies (scFv), chimeric antibodies, diabodies and polypeptides (including humanized versions thereof) that contain at least a portion of an immunoglobulin that is sufficient to confer specific antigen binding to a polypeptide.
Antibody means a composition comprising a whole antibody or a fragment thereof, said antibody or fragment having been derived from the Licensed Technology and/or generated from the Mice or the Future Generation Mice or having been derived from nucleotide sequences encoding, or amino acid sequences of, such an antibody or fragment.

Examples of Antibody in a sentence

  • At such times as a physician affiliated with Lake County Behavioral Health Services requests HIV testing of any patient or consumer, including doing so at the patient/consumer’s request, the physician must document informed consent and written consent using Form CAHHS 31-1 “Consent for the HIV Antibody Blood Test” issued by the California Associate of Hospitals and Health Systems.

More Definitions of Antibody

Antibody means any molecule, including [***].
Antibody means [**].
Antibody means any antibody, any gene expressing such an antibody, any hybridoma producing such antibody, or any fragment, variant, derivative or construct thereof, or antibody fusion protein produced therefrom (including PEDgylated or multimeric versions thereof, whether polyclonal, monoclonal, multi-specific antibodies (e.g., bi-specific antibodies), human, humanized, chimeric, murine, synthetic, or from any other source), including without limitation (a) the full immunoglobin molecules (e.g. the IgG, IgM,IgE, IgA, and IgD molecules), and (b) the antigen binding portions including Fab, Fab', F(ab')2, Fv, dAb, and CDR fragments, chimeric antibodies, diabodies, polypeptides, linear antibodies and single-chain antibodies (scFv) that contain any portion of an immunoglobulin that is sufficient to confer specific binding to an antigen.
Antibody means a protein in the blood that is produced in response to stimulation by a specific antigen. Antibodies help destroy the antigen that produced them. Antibodies against an antigen usually equate to immunity to that antigen.
Antibody means any antibody, whether naturally occurring, artificially produced, raised in an artificial system, or created through modification of another antibody or otherwise; any fragment of any of the foregoing; and any chemically modified versions of the foregoing antibodies (including versions that are conjugated with another chemical entity, such as a drug or toxin; pegylated versions (regardless of whether containing amino acid substitutions in order to achieve pegylation); and other chemically modified versions).
Antibody means any antibody directed against an Antigen, including, without limitation, monospecific and bispecific antibodies; less than full-length antibody forms such as Fv, Fab, and F(ab')2; single-chain antibodies; and antibody conjugates bound to a toxin, label or other moiety.
Antibody or “Antibodies” means any antibody, or [***], that binds to an Antigen.
