Application and Selection. A principal who has been employed for seven (7) years in the school district may apply for sabbatical leave. The leave will be for one (1) year in length and will be for the purpose of professional growth that ultimately furthers the interests of the school district and its students as determined by the superintendent and school board. Applications for sabbatical leave must be submitted to the executive director of human resources by February 1 previous to the year of the requested sabbatical.
