ARTICLE GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE. Any dispute involving the application, interpretation, administration, or alleged violation of this Agreement, including any question as to whether a matter is arbitrable may be made the subject of a grievance and an xxxxxxx effort shall be made to settle such a grievance as quickly as possible. An employee who believes she has a complaint or a difference shall first discuss the complaint or difference with her supervisor within seven (7) calendar days of first becoming aware of the complaint or difference. If the complaint or difference is not resolved to the satisfaction of the employee by the supervisor within seven (7) calendar days of the discussion, it may be processed within an additional seven (7) calendar days in the following manner. Stage One The employee may file a grievance in writing with her supervisor. The written grievance, signed by the employee, shall state the nature of the grievance, the Article alleged to be violated, and the redress sought. The supervisor shall forward the grievance to the Director. The Director, or designate, will provide an answer to the within seven (7) calendar days of the submission of the grievance.
ARTICLE GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE. 8: For purposes of this Article, "days" shall mean work days. All the time limits fixed herein for the grievance procedure may be extended only upon the written mutual consent of the parties and subsection of the Labour Relations Act does not apply. One or more steps in the grievance procedure may be omitted in the processing of a grievance only upon the written mutual consent of the parties.
