ATTORNEY APPROVAL. This Contract is contingent upon PURCHASER and SELLER obtaining approval of this Contract by their respective attorneys as to all matters contained herein. This contingency shall be deemed waived unless PURCHASER'S or SELLER'S attorney on behalf of their client notifies the other party or that party's attorney in writing by facsimile or certified mail of their disapproval of this Contract, no later than five (5) business days after this Contract has been signed by both SELLER and PURCHASER. There is ample evidence that achievement disparities in early elementary school are largely explained by the general quality of instruction students receive (Xxxxx & Pianta, 2005). By the time students are in third grade, however, discriminatory influences contribute differentially to historically marginalized students’ outcomes (XxXxxx, 2013). To counter discriminatory influences that affect historically marginalized students, scholars have established evidence on unique competencies that are essential (e.g., Gay, 2010; González, Moll, & Amanti, 2005; Xxxxxx-Xxxxxxxx, 1999). Collectively, these competencies reflect teacher knowledge and behaviors that affirm students’ ethnicity and culture, countering widespread interventions that address inordinate achievement disparities with approaches that reflect deficiencies in the child and/or child’s culture. The Tucson Unified School District (TUSD) is committed to fully addressing achievement disparities. To that end, TUSD seeks collaborative efforts to develop and implement their multicultural and culturally relevant curriculum. This proposal aims to address these needs by providing TUSD with the following:

  • CPUC Approval means a final and non-appealable order of the CPUC, without conditions or modifications unacceptable to the Parties, or either of them, which contains the following terms:

  • IRB approval means the determination of the IRB that the research has been reviewed and may be conducted at an institution within the constraints set forth by the IRB and by other institutional and federal requirements.

  • FCC Approval means the FCC’s grant of the FCC Applications, including any grants by operation of law; provided that the possibility that an appeal, request for stay, or petition for rehearing or review by a court or administrative agency may be filed with respect to such grant, or that the FCC may reconsider or review such grant on its own authority, shall not prevent such grant from constituting FCC Approval for purposes of the Plan.

  • Regulatory Approval means any and all approvals (including MAA Approval, and Pricing and Reimbursement Approval, if applicable), licenses, registrations, permits, notifications and authorizations (or waivers) of any Regulatory Authority that are necessary for the manufacture, use, storage, import, transport, promotion, marketing, distribution, offer for sale, sale or other commercialization of a Product in any country or jurisdiction.

  • Certificate of approval means a certificate of approval obtained from the
