Clerk of Works definition

Clerk of Works means any Engineer appointed by the Employer to perform the duties of Resident Engineer, limited to Supervision of Work and notified to the Contractor to be in charge of the project
Clerk of Works means the person appointed to supervise the general works.
Clerk of Works has the meaning in Section 2.2.3.

Examples of Clerk of Works in a sentence

  • The Contractor must give notification to the Architect or his representatives as soon as he considers rock as defined herein or existing foundations are encountered so that its extent can be agreed with the Architect, Clerk of Works, or Quality Surveyor before the work is carried out or covered up.

  • On completion of each Task Order the Tax Invoice with a copy of the Task Order, Completion Certificate and the Completion certificate attachment must be submitted to the relevant Clerk of Works.

  • The Clerk of Works office shall be a minimum of 15 xx.xx and shall have a desk, chair and drawers for keeping drawing and tack board for displaying drawings.

  • No work shall be covered up nor any concreting be carried out in the absence of the Clerk of Works without the prior approval of the Engineering in writing.

More Definitions of Clerk of Works

Clerk of Works means Engineers designated by Employer be In-Charge of the specific work. Construction / Project Manager, appointed by EMPLOYER to be in over all charge of the project.
