Commissioned Work definition

Commissioned Work means a Musical Work specially and expressly commissioned by the Licensee from composer/writer members of PRS and/or MCPS.
Commissioned Work means work commissioned by the University in writing from a Member of the University, outside the scope of his or her employment.
Commissioned Work means a work created, in pursuance of a contract between the author end an individual or a legal entity commissioning a specified work from the author against an agreed author’s fee;

  • A Commissioned Work is defined as a Work (as defined in paragraph K) that is produced or created pursuant to a written agreement with the Institution and for Institution purposes by (a) individuals not under the employ of the Institution or (b) Institutional Employees (as defined in paragraph D) acting outside the scope of their regular Institution employment, as determined by their existing Institution employment arrangement or contract.

  • Institutionally Commissioned Work does not include works produced with routine support (see definition below) either during the period of an academic appointment or during the summer.

  • Institutionally Commissioned Work as used in Part B.II.A is defined as work that the College specifically commissions its employee(s) to create or produce outside their regular scope of employment.

Commissioned Work means a Musical Work which has been specially and expressly commissioned by the Licensee for use in Qualifying Programmes from composer/writer Members.
Commissioned Work means a work of authorship where the University specifically directed the Creator in writing to create the work. Commissioned Works shall be owned by the University. The University shall be free to use Commissioned Works in its discretion without the payment of additional consideration to the Creator. The Creator retains ownership of any underlying Scholarly Academic Work that was used as part of the Courseware or Recorded Course but grants the University a royalty free perpetual and irrevocable non-exclusive license to the use of such work in the Courseware or Recorded Course. The distribution of any proceeds from commercialization via licensing to an external unaffiliated third party may be addressed in the document commissioning the work but requires the signature of the Provost or the Provost’s designee in order to be binding.
