Community development district definition

Community development district means a local unit of special-purpose government which is created pursuant to this act and limited to the performance of those specialized functions authorized by this act; the governing head of which is a body created, organized, and constituted and authorized to function specifically as prescribed in this act for the delivery of community development services; and the formation, powers, governing body, operation, duration, accountability, requirements for disclosure, and termination of which are as required by general law.
Community development district or “CDD” shall mean any community development district which is a local unit of special purpose government organized and existing under Chapter 190, Florida Statutes, established with respect to the community.
Community development district means and refer to the Viera East Community Development District, a local unit of special-purpose government created pursuant to Chapter 190, Florida Statutes, which Community Development District may pertain to all or portions of the District Property and all or portions of the Properties, and which may also pertain to certain real property not forming a part of the Properties.

Community development district means a private residential development that: (1) Is a size of at least 250 acres of contiguous land area; (2) has at least 100 residential sites, platted and recorded in the probate office of the county as a residential subdivision; (3) has streets that were or will be built with private funds; (4) has a social club with: (i) an 18-hole golf course of regulation size; (ii) a restaurant or eatery used exclusively for the purpose of preparing and serving meals, with a seating capacity of at least 60 patrons; (iii) social club memberships with at least 100 paid-up members who have paid a membership initiation fee of not less than two hundred fifty dollars ($250) per membership; (iv) membership policies whereby membership is not denied or impacted by an applicant's race, color, creed, religion, or national origin; and (v) a full-time management staff for the social activities of the club, including the management of the premises where food and drink are sold.
Community development district also means privately owned property used for social purposes that: (1) Is a size of at least 250 acres of contiguous land area; (2) is located in a dry county that has one or more wet municipalities, but outside the corporate limits of any municipality; (3) is a social club with: (i) An 18-hole golf course of regulation size; (ii) a marina and boat storage facility with at least 35 spaces; (iii) a clubhouse with more than 20,000 square feet; (iv) a restaurant or eatery used exclusively for the purpose of preparing and serving meals, with a seating capacity of at least 88 patrons; (v) at least 600 paid-up golf or social members who have paid a membership initiation fee of not less than two thousand dollars ($2,000) per family or individual membership; (vi) membership policies whereby membership is not denied or impacted by an applicant's race, color, creed, religion, or national origin; and (vii) a full-time management staff for the social activities of the club, including the management of the premises where food and drink are sold.
Community development district or "district" means a special district as provided in Article VI, Section 19 of the Constitution of Louisiana, which is created pursuant to this Chapter and limited to the performance of those specialized functions authorized by this Chapter; the boundaries of which are contained wholly within a single parish; the governing head of which is a body created, organized, and constituted and authorized to function specifically as prescribed in this Chapter for the delivery of community development services; and the formation, powers, governing body, operation, duration, accountability, requirements for disclosure, and termination of which are as required by general law.
Community development district or “CDD” shall mean and refer to Blossom Trail Community Development District which is a special purpose government unit organized in accordance with the Uniform Community Development District Act of 1980, Chapter 190, Florida Statutes, as amended, and which may acquire, fund, construct, operate and maintain certain infrastructure and community services within and outside Blossom Trail, if established.
