Convention adoption order definition

Convention adoption order means an adoption order made in accordance with section 17;

Convention adoption order means an adoption order made in accordance with Article 11C of this Law;

Convention adoption order means an adoption order which, by virtue of regulations under section 1 of the Adoption (Intercountry Aspects) Act 1999 (c. 18), is made as a Convention adoption order,

Examples of Convention adoption order in a sentence

• This section does not apply if the child is intended to be adopted under a Convention adoption order.

• The Court may, upon application under this Article, by order annul a Convention adoption or a Convention adoption order on the ground that the adoption or order is contrary to public policy.

• Except as provided by this Article the validity of a Convention adoption, a Convention adoption order or an overseas adoption shall not be impugned in Jersey in proceedings in any court.

• Hague Convention adoptions will involve adoption proceedings either in the receiving State (a Convention adoption) or in England and Wales (a Convention adoption order).
