Corrective Action Program definition

Corrective Action Program or “CAP” means measures established to assure that conditions adverse to quality, including, but not limited to, failures, malfunctions, deficiencies, deviations, defective material and equipment, and non-conformances are promptly identified and corrected. The measures shall assure that the cause of the condition is determined and corrective action taken to preclude repetition. The Corrective Action Program shall comply with, among other things, NEI 08-02, “Corrective Action Processes for New Nuclear Power Plants During Construction” and is part of the Quality Assurance Program as defined in Section 13.1.
