Resettlement Action Plan definition

Resettlement Action Plan or “RAP”, means a plan approved by the Association, to be prepared in accordance with the provisions of the RPF, setting forth principles and procedures governing land acquisition or other associated Project impacts, resettlement and compensation of Affected Persons, as well as reporting and monitoring arrangements to ensure compliance with the said plan, as the same may be amended from time to time with the agreement of the Association, and “Resettlement Action Plans” or “RAPs” shall mean such Resettlement Action Plans, collectively.
Resettlement Action Plan means an action plan adopted by MOH and a Central North Province for land acquisition, resettlement, compensation, and rehabilitation of Affected Persons and referred to in paragraph 2 of Section I.C of Schedule 2 to this Agreement, as said Resettlement Action Plan may be revised from time to time with the prior concurrence of the Association.
Resettlement Action Plan or “RAP” means the plan referred to in Section I.D.1 (b) of Schedule 2 to this Agreement; and “RAPs” means, collectively, each such RAP.

Examples of Resettlement Action Plan in a sentence

  • The Project Implementing Entity shall take all measures to implement the Resettlement Action Plan in a manner and timeframe satisfactory to the Association.

  • The Recipient shall cause the Palestinian Authority to carry out the Project in accordance with the Environmental Impact Assessment, the Environmental Management Plan, and the Resettlement Policy Framework, including the requirement therein to prepare a site-specific Resettlement Action Plan under Part 1 of the Project, in a manner satisfactory to the Administrator, prior to the commencement of works on the respective site.

  • The Recipient shall carry out the Project in accordance with the provisions of the Environmental Management Plan (“EMP”) and the Resettlement Action Plan (“RAP”).

  • Black Rock has obtained all Environmental approvals, Mining Licences and its Resettlement Action Plan.

  • The Recipient shall not amend or waive, or permit to be amended or waived, the ESIA, an ESMP, a RAP, the RPF and, with respect to BKT Affected Persons, the BIP Resettlement Action Plan, or any provision thereof in a manner which, in the opinion of the Association may materially and adversely affect the implementation of the Project.


More Definitions of Resettlement Action Plan

Resettlement Action Plan means with respect to each activity under the Project pursuant to which the RPF requires a resettlement action plan, such plan, to be prepared by the Recipient pursuant to Section D.1(c) of Schedule 2 to this Agreement, in accordance with the provisions of the RPF, and approved by the Association, giving details of the specific actions, measures and policies designed to facilitate the achievement of the objectives of the RPF, along with the procedural and institutional measures needed to implement such actions, measures and policies; and “RAPs” means more than one such RAP.
Resettlement Action Plan means the Recipient’s document prepared in accordance with the Resettlement Policy Framework with respect to an activity, which, inter alia: (i) contains a census survey of displaced persons and valuation of assets, (ii) describes compensation and other resettlement assistance to be provided, consultation to be conducted with displaced people about acceptable alternatives, institutional responsibilities for the implementation and procedures for grievance redress, and arrangements for monitoring and evaluation, and (iii) contains a timetable and budget for the implementation of such measures.
Resettlement Action Plan or “RAP” means a site-specific resettlement action plan to be prepared in accordance with the parameters laid down in the RPF (as hereinafter defined), acceptable to the Association, to be developed for each Project site which involves Resettlement, and covering the following: (i) a baseline census and socioeconomic survey information; specific compensation rates and standards; policy entitlements related to any additional impacts identified through the census or survey; description of Resettlement sites and programs for improvement or restoration of livelihoods and standards of living; an implementation schedule for Resettlement activities; and detailed cost estimate; (ii) measures designed to ensure that the displaced persons: (A) are informed about their options and rights pertaining to Resettlement, consulted on, offered choices among, and provided with technically and economically feasible Resettlement alternatives; and (B) provided prompt and effective compensation at full replacement cost for losses of assets attributable directly to the Project;
Resettlement Action Plan or “RAP” means a site-specific resettlement action plan to be prepared in accordance with the parameters laid down in the RPF (as hereinafter defined), acceptable to the Association, to be developed for each Project site which involves Resettlement, and covering the following: (i) a baseline census and socioeconomic survey information; specific compensation rates and standards; policy entitlements related to any additional impacts identified through the census or survey; description of Resettlement sites and programs for improvement or restoration of livelihoods and standards of living; an implementation schedule for Resettlement activities; and detailed cost estimate; (ii) measures designed to ensure that the displaced persons: (A) are informed about their options and rights pertaining to Resettlement, consulted on, offered choices among, and provided with technically and economically feasible Resettlement alternatives; and (B) provided prompt and effective compensation at full replacement cost for losses of assets attributable directly to the Project; (iii) if the impacts include physical relocation, that the displaced persons are: (A) provided assistance (such as moving allowances) during relocation; (B) provided with residential housing, or housing sites, or, as required, agricultural sites for which a combination of productive potential, locational advantages, and other factors is at least equivalent to the advantages of the old site; and (C) offered support after displacement, for a transition period, based on a reasonable estimate of the time likely to be needed to restore their livelihood and standards of living; (iv) affordable and accessible grievance procedures, taking into account the availability of judicial recourse and community and traditional dispute settlement mechanisms; and (v) provided with development assistance in addition to compensation measures, such as land preparation, credit facilities, training, or job opportunities.
Resettlement Action Plan or “RAP” means the Recipient’s document prepared and disclosed in accordance with the Resettlement Policy Framework with respect to the Project (or a Sub-project), which, inter alia, (i) contains a census survey of Displaced Persons and valuation of assets, (ii) describes compensation and other resettlement assistance to be provided, consultation to be conducted with Displaced Persons about acceptable alternatives, institutional responsibilities for the implementation and procedures for grievance redress, and arrangements for monitoring and evaluation, and (iii) contains a timetable and budget for the implementation of such measures.
Resettlement Action Plan. (or RAP) means the comprehensive plan as further defined in any law relating to the resettlement of local communities;
Resettlement Action Plan means, individually, any such plan.
