Critical care appointments, for the purposes of applicable NEMT standards, are defined as: chemotherapy, radiation, dialysis, pre-op or post-op appointments, surgery, high-risk pregnancy-related appointments, the comprehensive well child checkup required within 30-days of the child coming into state custody, and/or Urgent Care.
