Critical Illness definition

Critical Illness means an illness, sickness or a disease or a corrective measure as specified in Section 1 of this Policy.
Critical Illness or “CI” means Diagnosis of any of the following Covered Conditions which occur directly as a result of illness, and first occur after the Effective Date of Insurance:

Examples of Critical Illness in a sentence

  • Critical illness means illness which, in the attending physicians opinion, is grave enough to require the employees presence at the bedside.

  • Critical illness is defined as an illness that is life threatening, but recovery is possible.

  • The Employer recognizes there are a variety of unpaid leaves under the Employment Standards Act including, but not limited to: • Leave respecting the disappearance of a child; • Leave respecting the death of a child; • Family responsibility leave; • Critical illness leave; • Compassionate care leave; and • Leave respecting Domestic or Sexual Violence.

  • If We have accepted a claim for Critical Illness in accordance with Section D.II.A in respect of an Insured Person, then the Insured Person may choose to secure a second opinion from Our network of Medical Practitioners for the treatment of that Critical illness.

  • Critical illness is defined as an illness where death may occur; surgery is performed requiring hospitalization; or an illness requiring treatment by a physician.

Critical Illness means following disease/illness:
Critical Illness means any of the Illness or surgeries listed under Part C Clause 1 (C)(ii)
Critical Illness means illness shall include either the diagnosis of any of the illnesses or performance of any of the covered surgeries as given in section I C) of Annexure K, subject to exclusion as given in section II C) of Annexure K. Annexure K forms part of this Policy Document.
