Curtailment Period definition

Curtailment Period means the period of time, as measured using current Settlement Intervals, during which generation from the Facility is reduced pursuant to a Curtailment Order; provided that the Curtailment Period shall be inclusive of the time required for the Facility to ramp down and ramp up.

Examples of Curtailment Period in a sentence

  • Notwithstanding Section 3.1(b) and this Section 3.1(i), Seller shall reduce output from the Project during any Curtailment Period or Buyer Curtailment Period.

  • Buyer shall assume all liability and reimburse Seller for any and all CAISO Penalties incurred by Seller as a result of Buyer’s actions, including those resulting in a Buyer Curtailment Period.

Curtailment Period means the period of time during which there is any of the following: (a) the CAISO orders, directs, alerts, or provides notice to a Party to curtail Energy deliveries for reasons including, but not limited to, (i) any system emergency, as defined in the CAISO Tariff (“System Emergency”), (ii) any warning of an anticipated System Emergency, or warning of an imminent condition or situation, which jeopardizes the CAISO’s electric system integrity or the integrity of other systems to which the CAISO is connected; (b) a curtailment directed by the CAISO due to over generation as defined in the CAISO Tariff, or a forecast or expectation of over generation, including, but not limited to, a request by the CAISO to manage over generation conditions pursuant to CAISO Operating Procedure G 202, as it may be amended, supplemented or replaced (in whole or in part) from time to time; (c) a curtailment ordered by the Participating Transmission Owner or distribution operator (if interconnected to distribution or sub-transmission system) for reasons including, but not limited to, (i) any situation that affects normal function of the electric system including, but not limited to, any abnormal condition that requires action to prevent circumstances such as equipment damage, loss of load, or abnormal voltage conditions, (ii) any warning, forecast or anticipation of conditions or situations that jeopardize the Participating Transmission Owner’s electric system integrity or the integrity of other systems to which the Participating Transmission Owner is connected; (d) scheduled or unscheduled maintenance on the Participating Transmission Owner’s transmission facilities that prevents (i) Buyer from receiving or (ii) Seller from delivering Delivered Energy at the Delivery Point; or (e) a curtailment in accordance with Seller’s obligations under its interconnection agreement with the Participating Transmission Owner or distribution operator.
Curtailment Period means the hours from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM (8 hours) Mountain prevailing time (MPT) for each Curtailment Day during the Term.
