Cyber Security Breach definition

Cyber Security Breach means any unauthorized: access to, use or misuse of, modification to the network, and/or denial of network resources by cyber-attacks perpetuated by a third party or rogue employee through any electronic means, including malware, viruses, worms, and Trojan horses, spyware and adware, zero-day attacks, hacker attacks and denial of service attacks.
Cyber Security Breach is the intentional or unintentional release of secure or private/confidential information to an unauthorized third party or untrusted environment.
Cyber Security Breach means any cyber incident or cyber security violation that results in unauthorized or illegitimate access or use by a person as well as an entity, of data, applications, services, networks and/or devices through bypass of the underlying cyber security protocols, policies and mechanisms resulting in the compromise of the confidentiality, integrity or availability of data/information maintained in a computer resource or cyber asset.

  • Security Breach means the unauthorized acquisition of or access to Customer Data by an unauthorized person that compromises the security, confidentiality, or integrity of Customer Data, including instances in which internal personnel access systems in excess of their user rights or use systems inappropriately. “Security Breach” shall also be deemed to include any breach of security, confidentiality, or privacy as defined by any applicable law, rule, regulation, or order.
