Decorative landscaping definition

Decorative landscaping means vegetation, plantings, shrubs, trees and the like established and maintained in proximity to a residential structure, landscape structure or related access road for ornamental or aesthetic purposes. Decorative landscaping does not include agricultural crops established or maintained for commercial use.
Decorative landscaping means decorative non-live materials used to cover dirt in a garden or yard, such as rocks, gravel, or bark and does not include pavement with asphalt, cement or any other impervious surface.

  • Building means any structure used or intended for supporting or sheltering any use or occupancy.

  • Alterations means all changes, additions, improvements or repairs to, all alterations, reconstructions, renewals, replacements or removals of and all substitutions or replacements for any of the Improvements or Equipment, both interior and exterior, structural and non-structural, and ordinary and extraordinary.

  • Roof means a non-porous cover for a structure such as (by way of example and not limitation) Lexan barriers or shingles but not a shade trellis, ivy or other open or porous material that may also be used as a cover.

These buildings and works may include, without limitation, bridges, dams, plants, highways, parkways, streets, subways, tunnels, sewers, mains, power lines, pumping stations, heavy generators, railways, airports, terminals, docks, piers, wharves, ways, lighthouses, buoys, jetties, breakwaters, levees, and canals, and the construction, alteration, maintenance, or repair of such buildings and works.

  • Landscape architect means a person who holds a license to practice landscape architecture in the state of California Business and Professions Code, Section 5615.
