Multiple Sclerosis. The definite diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis, and must be supported by all of the following: • Investigations which unequivocally confirm the diagnosis to be Multiple Sclerosis; and • Multiple neurological deficits which occurred over a continuous period of at least 6 months. Other causes of neurological damage such as SLE and HIV are excluded.

Multiple Sclerosis. Unequivocal diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis attested by a neurologist. The illness must be evidenced by typical clinical symptoms of demyelination and impairment of motor and sensory functions, as well as by MRI results. In order to confirm the diagnosis, the Insured/Insured Person must display neurological anomalies that have endured for an ongoing period of at least six (6) months, or must have had at least two (2) clinically documented episodes with an interval of at least one (1) month in between, or at least one clinically documented episode together with characteristic findings in the cerebrospinal fluid, as well as specific brain injuries detected by the MRI.

The insured must exhibit neurological abnormalities that have existed for a continuous period of at least 6 months or must have had at least two clinically documented episodes. This must be evidenced by the typical symptoms of demyelination and impairment of motor and sensory functions as well as by typical MRI findings subject to the survival of the Insured person for a minimum period of 30 days from the date of diagnosis for the first time during the policy period.
