Duty on a Sunday definition

Duty on a Sunday means that employee will be paid at the rate of double time, which is inclusive of the single time already paid for the public holiday.

  • Where a Staff Member to whom this clause applies performs Shift Duty on a Sunday or a Public Holiday, an additional payment shall be made in accordance with the provisions of clause 37.

  • Legal Holiday means a Saturday, a Sunday or a day on which banking institutions in the City of New York or at a place of payment are authorized by law, regulation or executive order to remain closed. If a payment date is a Legal Holiday at a place of payment, payment may be made at that place on the next succeeding day that is not a Legal Holiday, and no interest shall accrue on such payment for the intervening period.

  • public holiday means any day that is a public holiday in terms of the Public Holiday Act, 1994 (Act No. 36 of 1994);

  • New York Business Day means each Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday which is not a day on which banking institutions in New York City are generally authorized or obligated by law or executive order to close.

  • Euronext Dublin means the Irish Stock Exchange plc, trading as Euronext Dublin;

  • Index Business Day means, in respect of an Index, any day on which the Index Sponsor in respect of such Index is scheduled to publish the level of the Index.
