EDC Terminal definition

EDC Terminal or “Terminal” means an electronic data capture terminal utilised to supply connectivity to the NuPay System;
EDC Terminal means the electronic data capture (EDC) terminals including mobile phone based EDC terminals, GPRS based EDC terminals and any other type of EDC Terminals specified by the Bank, printers, other peripherals and accessories, including the pin entry pads and the software contained in such devices, as the same may be supplemented, replaced or modified from time to time pursuant to these Terms;
EDC Terminal means the electronic data capture terminal at the point of sale which is linked by electronic interface to the Bank’s computer network and which has been supplied by the Bank to the Merchant or has been approved by the Bank; It is also referred to as POS Terminal.

  • You are not required to obtain an imprint of either legend if: you are an EDC Merchant and your EDC Terminal produces Sales Drafts and Credit Vouchers that contain the information specified in the Operating Rules; or The Bank Card Transaction is based on a mail or telephone order subject to Section 4.7 and Section 19 of these Additional Terms and Conditions or is a Preauthorized Order subject to Section 4.8 of these Additional Terms and Conditions.

  • Whenever feasible, you must use your EDC Terminals to obtain Authorisations, and you must obtain Authorisation for each Charge processed through an EDC Terminal regardless of the amount of the Charge.

  • Whenever it is not feasible to obtain Authorisation through an EDC Terminal (due to a system malfunction, power outage, or any other reason), other Authorisation rules of the Agreement will apply.

  • If no EDC Terminal is provided to the Merchant in connection with the Mail Order/Telephone Order Acceptance, the Merchant shall seek Authorization from MBB and shall write, type or print legibly the Authorization approval code evidencing any Authorization so obtained on the Authorization Payment Form before the completion of such transaction.

  • Should the Merchant return the EDC -Terminal to a branch of the Bank, then the nearest Regional Office of the Electronic Banking and Merchant Division of the Bank (as stated on the Merchant Statements) must be informed by facsimile of such action.

  • You also agree to take all necessary steps to prevent any person from acquiring any rights to the EDC Terminal, and to indemnify us against any loss and expense arising from the acquisition of such rights by any person.
