Fortress Funds means each of (a) each of the entities set forth on Schedule 6.13(a)(ii) and (b) any other Private Equity Fund, Hedge Fund or any other public or private investment fund created after the Closing Date and managed, directly or indirectly, by a Loan Party or one of its Subsidiaries or Affiliates or any of its investment advisors; provided that portfolio companies of a Fortress Fund shall not be deemed to be a Fortress Fund.
Fortress Funds each of the entities listed on Schedule 1.1F hereto.
Fortress Funds means (a) each of the entities set forth on Schedule 6.12(a)(ii), (b) any other Private Equity Fund, Hedge Fund, Castle or any other public or private investment fund created or acquired after the Closing Date and managed, directly or indirectly, by a Loan Party or one of its Subsidiaries or Affiliates or any of its investment advisors and (c) any entity that is both (i) a direct or indirect Subsidiary of a Loan Party (without giving effect to the last sentence in the definition of Subsidiary) and (ii) the general partner or managing member of a Private Equity Fund, Hedge Fund, or any other public or private investment fund; provided that none of the following shall be deemed to be a Fortress Fund: (x) portfolio companies of a Fortress Fund and (y) so long as any Loan Party or one of its Subsidiaries, Affiliates or investment advisors does not serve as general partner of such fund, any Private Equity Fund, Hedge Fund, other public or private investment fund or managed account that is formed or that any Loan Party or one of its Subsidiaries, Affiliates or investment advisors serves solely in its capacity as a manager or advisor (and such role began or begins after June 1, 2009).
Examples of Fortress Funds in a sentence
Since Fortress’s investments in the various Fortress Funds are not equal, Fortress’s concentrations from a management fee and incentive income perspective (which mirror the funds’ investments) and its concentrations from an investment perspective are different.

Fortress Funds means, collectively, all Funds (i) sponsored or promoted by any of the Company’s Subsidiaries, (ii) for which any of the Company’s Subsidiaries acts as a general partner or managing member (or in a similar capacity) or (iii) for which any of the Company’s Subsidiaries acts as an investment adviser or investment manager (other than (x) any Fund that is sub-advised by the Company’s Subsidiaries (or for which the Company’s Subsidiaries have primary investment responsibility over only a minority of the investment portfolio and/or are not primarily responsible for periodic reporting and filings) and for which an unaffiliated third-party acts as the promoter and sponsor, (y) any entity which is a subsidiary of a Fortress Fund (other than the Fortress Capital Finance Subsidiaries) and (z) any securitization vehicle used by a Fortress Fund for financing purposes, such as a collateralized debt obligation entity, for which a Company’s Subsidiary acts in either of the capacities identified in clauses (i) or (ii) above or this clause (iii)); and “Fund” means any collective investment vehicle (whether open-ended or closed-ended) including, without limitation, an investment company, a general and limited partnership, a trust and a company organized in any jurisdiction. “Fortress Capital Finance Subsidiaries” means Fortress Capital Finance LLC, Fortress Capital Finance II LLC, Fortress Capital Finance III (A) LLC, Fortress Capital Finance III (B) LLC, Fortress Capital Finance III (C) LLC, Fortress Capital Finance III (D) LLC, Fortress Capital Finance III (E) LLC, Fortress Capital Finance III (CIF-A) LLC, Fortress Capital Finance III (CIF-B) LLC, Fortress Capital Finance III (CIF-C) LLC and Fortress Capital Finance III (CIF-D) LLC;
Fortress Funds means any investment funds managed by Fortress or its Affiliates who make an investment in the Purchaser in connection with the transactions contemplated by this Agreement, including, but not limited to, Fortress Investment Fund III LP, Fortress Investment Fund III (Fund B) LP, Fortress Investment Fund III (Fund C) LP, Fortress Investment Fund III (Fund D) L.P., Fortress Investment Fund III (Fund E) L.P., Fortress Investment Fund IV (Fund A) L.P., Fortress Investment Fund IV (Fund B) L.P., Fortress Investment Fund IV (Fund C) L.P., Fortress Investment Fund IV (Fund D) L.P., Fortress Investment Fund IV (Fund E) L.P. and Fortress Investment Fund IV (Fund F) L.P.
