General Ward definition

General Ward means a room categorised as a general ward by a Hospital. In case if the hospital does not have any room categorization, a General Ward shall mean a room in Hospital shared by three (3) or more people but excluding any Semi-Private Room or above.
General Ward means a Hospital room for the Insured Person’s use during the Confinement that is a room with more than two (2) patient beds (not including any companion bed) and one (1)adjoining bathroom.
General Ward means a room with more than double occupancy during the Confinement with a bath or shower room for sharing. The room shall not include kitchen, dining or sitting rooms.

  • Except for cash benefit for Confinement in General Ward of a private Hospital as stated in Section 2 of Part 1 in the Supplement for Other Benefits, the benefits described in these Terms and Benefits are subject to the restriction in the choice of healthcare services providers as stated in Section 2 of Part 1 in the Supplement for Limitations of Benefits of these Terms and Benefits.

  • Except for the psychiatric treatment as stated in Section 3(l) of this Part 6 and cash benefit for Confinement in General Ward of a private Hospital as stated in Section 2 of Part 1 in the Supplement for Other Benefits, all benefits described in these Terms and Benefits are subject to the geographical limitation for benefit coverage as stated in Section 1 of Part 1 in the Supplement for Limitations of Benefits of these Terms and Benefits.

  • If room and board under Section 3(a) of Part 6 of the Terms and Conditions is payable, in addition to such Eligible Expenses, this benefit shall be payable for each continuous twenty- four (24) hours period during which the Insured Person is Confined in a General Ward of a Hong Kong private Hospital.

  • If hospitalization is due to a medical condition, a flat per day rate will be paid depending on whether the beneficiary is admitted in the General Ward or the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and the condition as defined in the package rates.

  • The room has to be air-conditioned.(e) General Ward is defined as a hall that accommodates up to ten patients.

  • If the Insured Person is Confined in General Ward of a private Hospital in Hong Kong and the Eligible Expenses incurred for the room and board are payable under Section 3(a) of Part 6 of the Terms and Conditions, this benefit shall be payable.For the avoidance of doubt, this benefit shall not be payable if the Insured Person is Confined in a public Hospital in Hong Kong.This benefit is not subject to any Deductible.

More Definitions of General Ward
