Generation Outage Demand definition

Generation Outage Demand means the Power taken by the Customer during a period of Capacity Request which exceeds the Amount of Power on Order and which is required to temporarily replace that Generating Capacity which is rendered unavailable to the Customer due to a Generation Outage;
Generation Outage Demand means the Power taken by the Customer which exceeds the sum of the Amount of Power on Order and the maximum Interruptible Demand taken in the Month, and which is required to temporarily replace that Generating Capacity which is rendered unavailable to the Customer due to a Generation Outage;

Examples of Generation Outage Demand in a sentence

  • The Customer shall not make undue requests for Generation Outage Demand and Energy and it shall restore normal operating conditions as soon as reasonably possible.

  • Such request or notification may be made by telephone and confirmed by facsimile transmission to Hydro’s officials at its Energy Control Centre, who shall advise the Customer if such Generation Outage Demand will be made available.

  • The Generation Outage Demand taken in any instance shall not exceed the amount of generating capacity rendered unavailable because of the Generation Outage.

  • The availability of Generation Outage Demand shall be subject to Hydro’s capability to deliver it, which Hydro shall determine at its sole discretion.

  • If the Customer wishes to purchase Generation Outage Demand and Energy at such a time or times, that Power and Energy shall be charged for as calculated by the method or formula approved by the Board.

  • While requesting or taking Generation Outage Demand and Energy, the Customer shall notify Hydro of all circumstances and particulars as to the outage as soon as practicable and shall keep Hydro informed as those circumstances and particulars change.

Related to Generation Outage Demand

  • Generating Facility means Developer’s device for the production of electricity identified in the Interconnection Request, but shall not include the Developer’s Attachment Facilities.

  • Outage means the state of a component when it is not available to perform its intended function due to some event directly associated with that component. An outage may or may not cause an interruption of service to customers, depending on system configuration.

  • Downtime means the Total Minutes in the Month during which the Cloud Service (or Servers for Server Provisioning) does not respond to a request from SAP’s Point of Demarcation for the data center providing the Cloud Service (or Server for Server Provisioning), excluding Excluded Downtime.

  • Billing Demand means the metered demand or connected load after necessary adjustments have been made for power factor, intermittent rating, transformer losses and minimum billing. A measurement in kiloWatts (kW) of the maximum rate at which electricity is consumed during a billing period;

  • generating plant means the generating facility described in Schedule 1 as amended from time to time;

  • cogeneration means the simultaneous generation in one process of thermal energy and electrical or mechanical energy;

  • Maintenance Outage means NERC Event Type MO, as set forth in attached Exhibit B, and includes any outage involving ten percent (10%) of the Facility’s Net Output that is not a Forced Outage or a Planned Outage.

  • Generation means the production of electricity;

  • Peak Demand means the maximum Metered Demand in the last 12 months;

  • Electric generation service means the provision of retail

  • Co-generation means the sequential production of electricity

  • Outages means the planned unavailability of transmission and/or generation facilities dispatched by PJM or the NYISO, as described in Section 35.9 of this Agreement.
