Healthcare Assistant definition

Healthcare Assistant means an employee who is an auxiliary to the nursing team and is able to perform tasks in their position description relating to patient care and who works under the direction of a registered nurse.
Healthcare Assistant means a person who assists residents in their activities of daily living, personal care and such other duties as are reasonably required to deliver care. A Healthcare Assistant shall not be expected to undertake clinical duties which would otherwise be done by a registered nurse unless assessed as currently competent and at the direction of a registered nurse.
Healthcare Assistant is a non-regulated healthcare provider who may perform a wide variety of tasks both administrative and clinical within the general practice environment.
