Clinical Duties. The term “Clinical Duties “ shall mean those duties of Non-Professional Personnel (as defined below) which entail directly or indirectly assisting a Professional (as defined below) in the scheduling, examination or care of patients in the course of providing Professional Eye Care Services, regardless of whether the performance of such duties requires licensure under applicable state law.
Clinical Duties. 1.1 Attends patients admitted into the ICU and patients suffering emergency medical conditions on the wards and in the Emergency Department. 1.2 Provides accurate and satisfactory written documentation of each episode of patient management. 1.3 Checks investigation results and follows up abnormal results. 1.4 Provides a completed discharge summary at the time of patient’s discharge from the ICU. 1.5 Participates in the site Medcial Emergency Response Team. 1.6 Works within a multidisciplinary team to facilitate patient management. 1.7 Communicates with patient’s next of kin, General Practitioner and Specialist as appropriate. 1.8 Participates in the 24/7 departmental roster and participates in on-call.
Clinical Duties. Provides a general medicine service. Service provision will be in accordance with departmental needs during normal working hours and as rostered for after hours and weekends. Service provision will encompass inpatient, outpatient and day care as determined and may vary from time to time depending on organisational needs, objectives, organisational KPIs.

Clinical Duties. 1.1 Responsible for the clinical care of patients under the supervision of senior medical staff including: a) attending to patients in order of medical urgency b) performing appropriate investigations c) managing medical conditions according to acceptable clinical standards under supervision of registrar and consultant physicians. d) collaborating with other medical staff, Nursing staff and multidisciplinary team members to facilitate patient management. e) communicating with family, outside medical practitioners, and/or community services concerning patient management. 1.2 Document clinical notes throughout each episode of patient care and at the time of discharge to meet medical record standard. 1.3 Manage patients and documents with regard to risk management principles. 1.4 Participate in after hours and weekend rosters. 1.5 Maintain and update professional knowledge. 1.6 Participates in research where appropriate.
Clinical Duties. 5.1 A primary goal of the University and the various Health Care Providers is to ensure that the quality of clinical services contracted is of the highest possible standard and to ▇▇▇▇▇▇ the desire to ensure a close and harmonious relationship between clinicians employed by both parties. 5.2 Where the Employee is performing clinical duties as part of the University of Auckland’s agreement with the relevant Health Care Provider, the Employee is responsible through the Employee’s Academic Head to ensure compliance with the terms of that agreement. The Employee is responsible to the clinical director of the Health Care provider for the employee’s clinical service, including adherence to the same clinical governance requirements as the Health Care Provider clinicians. 5.2.1 The employee will maintain the standard of clinical care and professional conduct as required by the respective clinical director of the Health Care Provider to which the Employee provides clinical services. 5.2.2 The Employee will comply with the University’s obligations to the Health Care Provider to give adequate notice of any change in scheduled patient contact as outlined in 5.2.3 below. 5.2.3 The Employee is expected to be timely in attending scheduled clinics, ▇▇▇▇ rounds etc. and shall not cancel a scheduled patient contact (e.g. clinic, operating list) without providing adequate notice in accord with the policy of the particular service as notified by the respective clinical director (District Health Board) to the Academic Head. Except in exceptional circumstances (e.g. illness), staff of the University will provide at least 28 days’ notice to the Health Care Provider of any change in scheduled patient contact. Requests for annual leave need to be approved by both the Academic Head and Clinical Director. 5.2.4 The Employee is required to maintain current New Zealand medical registration and medical liability insurance. 5.2.5 The Employee will provide the volume and range of clinical service as agreed with the Academic Head and Health Care Provider management. 5.2.6 The Employee will take an active part in postgraduate training, clinical audit, continuing medical education and other relevant activities of the clinical service. 5.2.7 The Employee is always expected to provide the highest achievable standard of
Clinical Duties. Dr. ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ agrees to perform comprehensive office management of Dr. Doctor’s patients during the period outlined above. This includes, but is not limited to, medical assessment and diagnosis, writing prescriptions, ordering tests, making appropriate referrals, and reviewing and acting upon all medical reports. Dr. Doctor acknowledges that Dr. ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇’s clinical practice and approach to patient care may differ from his/her own. However, Dr. LocumPhysician will endeavor to match the practice style of Dr. Doctor whenever appropriate. At no time is Dr. ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ obligated to authorize prescription renewals over-the-phone, nor perform any telephone or online assessments regardless of the current practice policies of Dr. Doctor. Tests ordered by Dr. ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇, but made available to Dr. Doctor’s office following the completion of the locum, are the responsibility of Dr. Doctor.
Clinical Duties. 1.1 Medical supervision of respiratory function tests including exercise tests, simulated altitude tests, and control of breathing. 1.2 Participating in the conduct and reporting respiratory function tests. 1.3 Conducting sleep clinic outpatient sessions. 1.4 Participating in the conduct and reporting of sleep studies. 1.5 Helping provide inpatient care of patients in the Respiratory Special Care Unit including: • Admitting new Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine patients, and being familiar with the detail of these. • Providing on-going care and documentation of progress in the medical record. This includes: daily review of patients and as otherwise requested by medical, nursing or allied health staff; arranging investigations and consultation requests; undertaking procedures, under supervision where necessary; prescribing treatments and medications; discharge planning; and completing documentation including transfer and discharge summaries, notifiable disease and adverse drug reaction forms, death certificates. • Carrying out clinical and administrative duties as determined by the Department senior registrar and consultant. • Liaising with General Practitioner. • Counselling patients and relatives. 1.6 Participating in evaluation of inpatients about whom the Department has been consulted. 1.7 Participating in performance assessments, and acceptance of constructive feedback from consultant staff. 1.8 Recognising areas of inexperience, and appreciating when to seek guidance and support. 1.9 Participating in Department and Hospital meetings. 1.10 Attending relevant training lectures. 1.11 Participating in peer review, quality improvement and clinical governance activities/seminars. 1.12 Carrying pager and/or mobile phone while on duty to ensure ready accessibility. 1.13 Assisting in providing cover for unexpected absence. 1.14 Respecting the dignity of patients and fellow workers, and the need for confidentiality of patients’ medical information. 1.15 Upholding the code of ethics of the medical profession.
Clinical Duties. 1.1 Undertakes clinical shifts and on-call duties as directed by the Head of Department. 1.2 Oversees the care of inpatients and outpatients, including clinical evaluation, formulating a differential diagnosis, arranging appropriate investigations and referrals, and instituting a documented management plan, in conjunction with the supervising Consultant. 1.3 Reviews inpatients daily and at the request of medical staff, nursing staff, patients or families, keeps the supervising Consultant informed of any patient whose condition is not improving, or who is causing concern, requesting assistance from senior practitioners where necessary. 1.4 Works within competence level to provide safe patient care and seeks advice and assistance from senior practitioners as required, in order to provide safe, high-quality patient care. 1.5 Assists with the supervision, support, mentoring and teaching of Doctors in Training (▇▇▇’s) at all times and actively intervenes to reduce delays in patient investigation, management, transfer or discharge.
Clinical Duties. To become clinically proficient in the care of children with complex health problems and adept in managing this care in the context of the individual family and locally available community support structure. The Trainee will: • Provide high quality comprehensive medical care to neonates and paediatric inpatients, including those with complex problems • Provide appropriate advice and support to GPs, doctors in ED and other health professionals regarding paediatric patients • Provide ▇▇▇▇ cover, support and supervision of the paediatric residents and medical students posted to the paediatric unit • Be actively involved in the education and training of junior staff and other health professionals regarding paediatric issues. • Maintain complete and orderly records and up-to-date progress notes and completes succinct and accurate reports in a timely manner • Ensure high standards of moral and ethical behaviour towards patients, families and colleagues. • Ensure ongoing personal continuing professional development, maintaining up-to-date knowledge required to manage patients and ensure that the management is evidence-based best practice and in keeping with the recognised guidelines used in Australia. • Attend internal and external CME meetings, workshops and conferences • Conduct clinics in the Mildura Base Specialist Clinic X 2 sessions per week/approximately 4 – 6 patients per session. These patients will include general paediatric, endocrine disorders, behavioural disorders (eg ADD, ADHD). • Conduct Outreach Clinics to local rural Health Services e.g. Ouyen, Robinvale, Dareton (NSW) as scheduled.
