Helmets to Hardhats definition

Helmets to Hardhats program to serve as a resource for preliminary orientation, assessment of construction aptitude, referral to apprenticeship programs or hiring halls, counseling and mentoring, support network, employment opportunities and other needs as identified by the parties.
Helmets to Hardhats means a national program that connects National Guard, Reserve and transitioning active-duty military members with career training and employment opportunities within the construction industry. The program is administered by a non-profit Section 501(c)(3) joint labor-management committee established under Section 302(c)(9) of the Labor Management Relations Act. Helmets to Hardhats also runs the “Wounded Warrior” program, which provides information to veterans about construction careers that employers have specifically identified as potentially suitable for disabled veterans.
Helmets to Hardhats means the nationwide program that is administered by the Center for Military Recruitment, Assessment and Veterans Employment, a nonprofit corporation that connects National Guard, Reserve, retired and transitioning active-duty military service members with skilled training and quality career opportunities in the construction industry.

  • The payment of the applicable rate of wage to said offsite fabrication/customization, assembly or pre-assembly shall not be construed as applying the following requirements of the Agreement Article X (Helmets to Hardhats), Article XI (Apprenticeship Utilization), Article XII (Monthly Labor Management Meetings), or Article XIV (Substance Abuse Program).
