Information Barriers definition

Information Barriers means measures within an organization that are created to prevent exchanges of Commercially Sensitive Information or communication that could lead to conflicts of interest and/or constitute a prohibited practice in terms of the Act.
Information Barriers means, with respect to any Person, the implementation of internal safeguards and confidentiality protection protocols, including the exclusion of involvement of any individual who himself or herself has consulted or advised on, or otherwise has non-public knowledge of, the Project, this RFQ or any RFP, which barriers are customary and appropriate for the relevant industry of such Person and this Project and which barriers otherwise comply with such Person’s obligations under Applicable Law.
Information Barriers. We maintain arrangements which restrict access by our employees to information relating to areas of our business (and that of affiliates) with which, and the affairs of clients with whom, they are not directly concerned. Accordingly: (a) we will provide services to you from time to time under these terms on the basis of the information known to the particular employees who are at the time handling your affairs; (b) we will not be required to have regard to or disclose to you or make use of any information known to those employees, or to any of our other employees, agents or affiliates, which belongs to or is confidential to another client, or to us or any agent or affiliate, or which is not known to those employees; and (c) in exceptional circumstances, we may be unable to deal with you in relation to particular investments and be unable to disclose the reason for this.
