ENGAGEMENT & INNOVATION GRANT FUND SUPPLEMENTAL APPLICATION Introduction & Purpose Colorado’s Water Plan calls for an outreach, education, public engagement, and innovation grant fund in Chapter 9.5. The overall goal of the Engagement & Innovation Grant Fund is to enhance Colorado’s water communication, outreach, education, and public engagement efforts; advance Colorado’s water supply planning process; and support a statewide water innovation ecosystem.
The FTA Section 5311 Innovation Grant is a designation of a portion of unused funding allocated to Section 5311 eligible counties which is made available to these counties on a competitive application basis.

For example, if a proposed Innovation Grant proposal has merit, but the applicant’s ability to manage the risk and deliver the project is uncertain, the panel may recommend that the applicant receive an Ideas Grant to further develop the proposal and reduce project risk to an acceptable level.
To offset this impact and absorb cost implication and other related factors, Technology Innovation Grant (TIG) of Rs. 1,00,000/- per double bedroom (up to 60 sqm carpet area), Rs. 60,000/- per single bedroom unit (up to 30 sqm carpet area) and Rs. 20,000 per Dormitory Bed (up to 10 sqm carpet area) has been provisioned.

RESPONSE The council currently funds and supports a number of ‘lay inspection’ schemes including the Care Homes ‘Lay Inspection’ scheme, the Innovation Grant funded Community Quality Champions programme and the Young Inspectors scheme supported by the Children’s Rights Officers.
