land use means the purpose for which land is or may be used lawfully in terms of a land use scheme, existing scheme or in terms of any other authorisation, permit or consent issued by a competent authority, and includes any conditions related to such land use purposes;
Area means Monterey County, San Benito County, and Santa Cruz County.
Water-oriented use means a use that is water-dependent, water-related, or water-enjoyment, or a combination of such uses.
Intensive Care Unit means an identified section, ward or wing of a hospital which is under the constant supervision of a dedicated medical practitioner(s), and which is specially equipped for the continuous monitoring and treatment of patients who are in a critical condition, or require life support facilities and where the level of care and supervision is considerably more sophisticated and intensive than in the ordinary and other wards.
School building means any building in which any of the instruction, extracurricular activities, or training provided by a school is conducted, whether or not any instruction, extracurricular activities, or training provided by the school is being conducted in the school building at the time a criminal offense is committed.
communal land means land under the jurisdiction of a traditional council determined in terms of section 6 of the Eastern Cape Traditional Leadership and Governance Act, (Act 4 of 2005) and which was at any time vested in -
Potential geologic hazard area means an area that:
Areas means such areas within the DAS Areas that are identified in Annexure A annexed to this Agreement;
Commercial building means any building other than a residential building,
Resort Complex means the hotel, convention centre/theatre restaurant, exhibition centre, recreation and other facilities and the Burswood Casino established or to be established on the Site pursuant to and in accordance with the provisions of this Agreement and includes, if and when constructed, Stage 2 but does not include, on and from the date specified in an order made under section 21F(1b) of the Control Act, any of the foregoing which are by the order excluded from the operation of this Agreement;
Professional land surveyor means a professional land surveyor licensed under ch. 443.
Approved Use means the use of the Project for the operation of a Healthcare Facility as a ___ ____ [insert type of facility] with __ __ [beds/units] [of which not less than __ ___ [beds/units] are [to be] in use] and such other uses as may be approved in writing from time to time by HUD based upon a request made by the Borrower, Operator, or Master Tenant, but excluding any uses that are discontinued with the written approval of HUD. Master Tenant shall ensure that use of the Healthcare Facility is in accordance with the Approved Use.
Intensity means the number of Program Unique Supervised Hours divided by the Duration for a course or qualification, being a measure of the concentration of training and assessment delivered from the Eligible Individual’s perspective.
Residential building means a building containing one or more residential dwellings.
Centers means the international agricultural and natural resources research centers that are members of the Consortium; and each a “Center”.
Fire fighter means any person employed by the state or any political subdivision as a member or officer of a fire depart- ment or a member of a volunteer department, including the state fire marshal and deputies.
private land means any land that has been or may hereafter be alienated from the Crown for any estate of freehold, or is or may hereafter be the subject of any conditional purchase agreement, or of any lease or concession with or without a right of acquiring the fee simple thereof (not being a pastoral lease within the meaning of the Land Administration Act 1997 or a lease or concession otherwise granted by or on behalf of the Crown for grazing purposes only or for timber purposes or a lease of Crown land for the use and benefit of the Aboriginal inhabitants) but —
Land means the land described in Exhibit A.

End-use means the light, heat, cooling, refrigeration, motor drive, microwave energy, video or audio signal, computer processing, electrolytic process, or other useful work produced by equipment using electricity.
Project means the goods or Services described in the Signature Document or a Work Order of this Contract.
Amenities are those areas specifically set forth in the Rules and Regulations for the Community.

Space means the volume of gas which a user of a storage facility is entitled to use for the storage of gas;
