Intensive services definition

Intensive services means services only available and provided under an IPE. Intensive services do not include ancillary services, such as maintenance, transportation, benefits planning, reader, interpretation taker services, etc.
Intensive services means a comprehensive range of services, supports and coordinated care using a team-based approach that necessitate contact multiple times per week (or at a minimum, weekly) to a defined population. Coordination requires an ongoing relationship between the individual and a designated member of the care team.
Intensive services means, except as noted in Section 58842, initial DOR funded ongoing support services as specified by the Code of Federal rRegulations in 34 CFR 361.5(b)(38), and when related to individualized services, as defined in this section, which decrease to stabilization;

Examples of Intensive services in a sentence

  • Intensive services should be provided to, among others, Class Members at risk of out-of-home placement, including a residential program or psychiatric hospital, Class Members transitioning from an out-of-home placement back to their families or other community setting, and Class Members with significant behavioral health needs.

  • Intensive services include more comprehensive assessments of customers’ individual qualifications and needs, and can involve counseling and assistance with career planning.
