Sensitive Services definition

Sensitive Services means those services that (i) require access to Customer/Consumer Information, (ii) relate to the State’s computer networks, information systems, databases or secure facilities under circumstances that would permit modifications to such systems, or (iii) involve unsupervised access to secure facilities (“Sensitive Services”).
Sensitive Services means all health care services related to mental or behavioral health, sexual and reproductive health, sexually transmitted infections, substance use disorder, gender affirming care, and intimate partner violence, and includes services described in Sections 6924, 6925, 6926, 6927, 6928, 6929, and 6930 of the Family Code, and Sections 121020 and 124260 of the Health and Safety Code, obtained by a patient at or above the minimum age specified for consenting to the service specified in the section.
Sensitive Services means those services related to Family Planning, sexually transmitted disease (STD), and HIV testing.

Examples of Sensitive Services in a sentence

  • Be assured of confidentiality when accessing Sensitive Services such as Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) and HIV testing.

  • Any service not authorized by the GMWP physician or other qualified decision maker on the IDT, even if it is listed as a covered benefit, except Emergency, Urgent, Preventive, and Sensitive Services.

  • Sensitive Services, defined as an episode of care for the diagnosis and treatment of a sexually transmitted disease or testing and counseling for HIV do not require prior authorization.

  • However, prior authorization is never required for Emergency, Preventive, or Sensitive Services.
