  • The remaining costs of servicing the End-user will then be recovered in another way, e.g. by:• a Capital Contribution• non-standard transmission fees (probably requiring a TPA), or• An Interconnection Fee (where relevant).

  • We will calculate (and periodically redetermine) the Termination Fee in line with the methodology used to determine the Interconnection Fee.

  • This aligns with Firstgas’ principle of non-discriminatory treatment of transmission system users.Accordingly, we believe that, where practicable, the cost of any new investment should be recovered from the party who creates a need for investment, which is generally the IP.In most circumstances, Firstgas will therefore charge an Interconnection Fee to recover the cost of a newInterconnection.

  • Eligible customers will be subject to a one time Interconnection Fee, per connection.

  • The parties must then proceed to negotiate an ICA.Where an ICEA is not used, Firstgas may agree to undertake the preliminary design and FEED and recover the cost of those activities under the ICA via the Interconnection Fee.

  • Either option will reduce the capital Firstgas must invest, so the Interconnection Fee will reduce accordingly.

  • An ICA may be terminated before the end of physical asset life used to calculate the Interconnection Fee.

  • Once the actual cost is known and the confirmed Interconnection Fee determined, we will credit or debit the IP for the difference between the provisional and confirmed fees.Firstgas may be willing to cap the cost of the Interconnection for the purpose of determining theInterconnection Fee, to give certainty to the IP as to what the maximum fee will be.In some cases, we may require the IP to pay a capital contribution for part or all of the cost of theInterconnection2.
