Managed Server definition

Managed Server means a hardware device that is hosted in a data centre by Us and provided to the Client for their use. We provide hardware support, rack space, power and network connectivity for such servers either directly or via an external hardware support provider which may be the vendor or an accredited third party.
Managed Server means a Server that is managed, monitored and/or protected by the Licensed Software but that may not actually be running the Licensed Software itself.
Managed Server and “server” shall mean the machine(s) listed in Section C and further specified in the Order Forms attached to this Agreement.

Examples of Managed Server in a sentence

  • For example, if the Licensed Software is monitoring a Managed Server that has four physical partitions, Your license must include four Managed Server licenses.

  • For example, if you use the Licensed Software to managed two physical Managed Servers, and each Managed Server has two virtualization programs installed upon that Server, You will only need two Managed Server licenses, not four.

  • In addition, if the Licensed Software is monitoring a Managed Server that has multiple cores, that Managed Server will be counted as multiple servers equal to the number of physical partitions on the Managed Server for purposes of determining how many Managed Servers may be monitored by the Licensed Software.

  • In addition, You must have a license for each physical Managed Server monitored by the Licensed Software, and the presence of virtualization software on the physical Managed Server will not affect the number of licenses you need for that Managed Server.


More Definitions of Managed Server

Managed Server means a physical or Virtual Server Base Component for which IBM is providing setup, configuration, administration and management Services.
Managed Server means the server(s) provided to You by Virtual Internet. The Operation and management of the server or service will be as agreed in the Order and Service Level Agreement(s) covering the service(s).
