Mental Health Rehabilitative Services means age-appropriate services determined by HHSC and federally-approved protocol as Medically Necessary to reduce a Member’s Disability resulting from severe mental illness for adults or serious emotional, behavioral, or mental disorders for children, and to restore the Member to his or her best possible functioning level in the community. Services that provide assistance in maintaining functioning may be considered rehabilitative when necessary to help a Member achieve a rehabilitation goal as defined in the Member’s rehabilitation plan.

Examples of Mental Health Rehabilitative Services in a sentence

  • Individuals who were assessed to need Targeted Case Management or Mental Health Rehabilitative Services but did not become Medicaid eligible until after they were placed on the waiting list may not remain on a waiting list for longer than 60 calendar days.

  • These encounters will follow documentation rules outlined in 26 TAC Chapter 306, Subchapter F (Mental Health Rehabilitative Services), and 26 TAC Chapter 306, Subchapter A (Standards for Services to Individuals with Co-occurring Psychiatric and Substance Use Disorders).

  • Mental Health Worker means an individual that assists in planning, developing and evaluating mental health services for Clients; provides liaison between Clients and service providers; and has obtained a Bachelor's degree in a behavioral science field such as psychology, counseling, or social work, or has two years of experience providing client related services to Clients experiencing mental health, drug abuse or alcohol disorders. Education in a behavioral science field such as psychology, counseling, or social work may be substituted for up to one year of the experience requirement.

  • Rehabilitation counseling services means services provided by qualified personnel in individual or group sessions that focus specifically on career development, employment preparation, achieving independence, and integration in the workplace and community of a student with a disability. The term also includes vocational rehabilitation services provided to a student with disabilities by vocational rehabilitation programs funded under the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended.

  • Mental health services provider means an individual, licensed or unlicensed, who performs or purports to perform mental health services, including a:

  • Rehabilitation Hospital means an Institution which mainly provides therapeutic and restorative services to Sick or Injured people. It is recognized as such if:

  • Mental health facility means a mental health facility as defined by the Inpatient Mental Health Treatment of Children Act;

  • Rehabilitative employment means any occupation or employment for wage or profit or any course or training that entitles the disabled employee to an allowance, provided such rehabilitative employment has the approval of the employee’s doctor and the underwriter of the Plan. If earnings are received by an employee during a period of total disability and if such earnings are derived from employment which has not been approved as rehabilitative employment, then the regular monthly benefit from the Plan shall be reduced by one hundred percent (100%) of such earnings.

  • Medically Necessary Services means those covered services that are, under the terms and conditions of the contract, determined through contractor utilization management to be:

  • Medical home means a team approach to providing health care that originates in a primary care setting; fosters a partnership among the patient, the personal provider, and other health care professionals, and where appropriate, the patient’s family; utilizes the partnership to access and integrate all medical and nonmedical health-related services across all elements of the health care system and the patient’s community as needed by the patient and the patient’s family to achieve maximum health potential; maintains a centralized, comprehensive record of all health-related services to promote continuity of care; and has all of the characteristics specified in section 135.158.

  • Rehabilitation Program means a written vocational rehabilitation program:
