Interpretive services means reading and analyzing images, tracings, or specimens through telehealth or giving interpretations based on visual, auditory, thermal, or ultrasonic patterns or other patterns as may evolve with technology.

Availability of Interpreters: NHPD shall develop a procedure for obtaining qualified interpreters. All officers shall be trained on this procedure. NHPD shall not rely on an adult or child accompanying an individual with a disability to interpret or facilitate communication except under the circumstances identified in 28 C.F.R. 35.160(c)(2) and 160(c)(3).
