Interpretive services. The City will maintain a working relationship with one or more qualified oral/sign language interpreter agencies to ensure that interpreting services will be available upon request 24/7. Availability of Interpreters: NHPD shall develop a procedure for obtaining qualified interpreters. All officers shall be trained on this procedure. NHPD shall not rely on an adult or child accompanying an individual with a disability to interpret or facilitate communication except under the circumstances identified in 28 C.F.R. 35.160(c)(2) and 160(c)(3).
