Merck Field definition

Merck Field means any and all uses.
Merck Field means the treatment and/or prevention of disease in humans including Vaccines and in vivo Diagnostics, but excluding the HGS Field and in vitro Diagnostics. 1.32 "Merck Patents" shall mean all patents and patent applications to the extent that they claim Merck Technology, which are or become owned by Merck or to which Merck otherwise has, now or in the future, the right to grant licenses or sublicenses. Included within the definition of Merck
Merck Field means (a) Research and Development; and (b) any and all human and animal uses, other than any Non-Approved Uses. For the avoidance of doubt, activities within the veterinary or animal field are included in the definition of the term Merck Field.

Any and all chemistry, manufacturing, and controls (CMC), drug master files (DMFs), or similar materials provided to regulatory authorities and the information contained therein are deemed Manufacturing Technology.

  • Research License means a nontransferable, nonexclusive license to make and to use the Licensed Products or the Licensed Processes as defined by the Licensed Patent Rights for purposes of research and not for purposes of commercial manufacture or distribution or in lieu of purchase.

  • Joint Technology means the Joint Know-How and the Joint Patent Rights.

  • Licensed Product means a product or part of a product in the Licensed Field of Use: (A) the making, using, importing or selling of which, absent this license, infringes, induces infringement, or contributes to infringement of a Licensed Patent; or (B) which is made with, uses or incorporates any Technology.

  • Licensee Technology means the Licensee Know-How and Licensee Patents.

  • Licensor Technology means the Licensor Patents, the Licensor Know-How, Licensor Materials, and Non-Patent Rights Controlled by Licensor or its Affiliates embodied in Licensor Know-How or Licensor Materials.

  • Diagnostic Product means any test or assay for diagnosing or detecting a disease, disorder, medical condition, or symptom.
