Neutral Athletes definition

Neutral Athletes means as specified in Rule 3.1.2 of these Eligibility Rules, an Athlete who is granted special eligibility by the Council to compete in one or more International Competitions in an individual capacity and who satisfies at all relevant times any conditions to such eligibility specified by the Council. All provisions in the Rules and Regulations that are applicable to Athletes shall apply equally to Neutral Athletes, unless expressly stated otherwise; and any coach, trainer, manager, Athlete Representative, agent, team staff, official, medical or para-medical personnel, parent or any other Person employed by or working with a Neutral Athlete participating in an International Competition shall be an Athlete Support Personnel for purposes of these Rules.
Neutral Athletes means an Athlete granted such status in accordance with Rule 3 of the Eligibility Rules.

Examples of Neutral Athletes in a sentence

  • Neutral Athletes may achieve the Entry Standard in national competitions held in the country of the suspended Member Federation provided the competition in question meets all relevant requirements under World Athletics Rules and Regulations.

  • Neutral Athletes and their Support Personnel who act in breach of the Technical Regulations or the Competition Rules as amended hereby shall be reported to the relevant Referee and/or other relevant official who may impose sanctions in accordance with the Technical Regulations or Competition Rules.

  • All Neutral Athletes must bring their team uniform to the accreditation centre for inspection, during the accreditation procedures and shall abide by any direction or ruling by the IAAF in its discretion at any time concerning the uniform to be worn.

  • Neutral Athletes and their Support Personnel who act in breach of the Advertising Regulations as amended hereby shall be reported to the Advertising Commissioner and/or other relevant official who may impose sanctions in accordance with the Advertising Regulations.

  • Neutral Athletes may only apply to compete in individual events and provided they have achieved the Entry Standard for the event within the Qualification Period.

  • Neutral Athletes and their accompanying persons shall act at all times with the utmost good faith towards the IAAF, the LOC, officials, other athletes and athlete support personnel and each other.

  • All Neutral Athletes finally entered into the Competition will benefit from full-board accommodation only.

  • All Neutral Athletes Support personnel shall be approved by the IAAF and the IAAF may at its discretion require further information to be provided about any nominated person before it gives its approval.

  • If more than three Neutral Athletes achieve the Entry Standard, the three who have achieved the best qualifying performance will be accepted.

  • Neutral Athletes and their accompanying persons shall comply with the Advertising Regulations for the whole duration of the Competition, including the events, all ceremonies (victory, opening and closing) interviews and press conferences.

  • Neutral ’ means an individual who, with respect to an issue in controversy, functions specifically to aid the parties in resolving the controversy;
