Owner Driver definition

Owner Driver means an Insured who owns and operates a single Vehicle and drives at least 24 hours in any seven-day period. ATL reserves the right to request log on / log off reports for any Owner driver in the event of a claim to establish utilisation of the Vehicle over a seven-day period.

The Employer expressly reserves the right to control the manner, time, means and details of and by which the Owner-Driver performs his/her services, as well as the ends to be accomplished and shall be the sole judge of the capability of the Owner-Driver's equipment to perform the work required to be performed. The terms and provisions of this Article are to apply only to single trucks owned and operated by an employee covered by this Agreement and shall not apply to a situation in which an employee covered by this Agreement or any other person rents a truck which is not to be operated by the owner of such truck.
