Participant Directed Investments definition

Participant Directed Investments means the manner and percentages in which a Participant directs investments with respect to his Tax Deferred Contribution Account, or in the manner as directed by the Participant with respect to his Taxed Contribution Account (or if applicable, Roth 401(k) Contribution Account, or Company Contribution Account), in the event he is not making contributions to a Tax Deferred Contribution Account. If a Participant fails to make an investment election as provided in the preceding sentence, then with regard to his or her contributions (including all automatic deferrals described in Article III of the Plan), such Participant shall be deemed to have elected to have such contributions invested in the Plan’s age-based retirement Fund with the date closest to the Participant’s anticipated retirement date (or such other Fund as may be designated by the Investment Committee and communicated to Participants from time to time by the Administrative Committee in accordance with any applicable laws).
Participant Directed Investments. Notwithstanding any other provisions of the plan, each participant having an amount to his credit under the plan may, acting through the Committee, direct the Trustee as to the investment or reinvestment of his account to the extent permitted by the Employer in the Adoption Agreement, subject to the following provisions of this Section 8 and Section 9:
Participant Directed Investments means the investment funds to which contributions, and/or all or part of any Participant's Individual Account are invested by the Trustees from time to time as directed in writing or by other means by the Participant. Any such investment direction by a Participant shall be in accordance with rules and procedures prescribed by the Trustees which shall include requirements that investment directions be made in the manner prescribed by the Trustees, that said Participant direction shall be timely furnished to the Trustees, that to the extent that any Participant fails to provide the Trustees with timely directions in accordance with such rules and procedures, the Trustees shall invest the contributions or individual Participant's account, not so directed, and that the Participant shall be permitted to periodically change his/her investment directions both as to existing amounts in any of his/her accounts, or in investment funds previously selected, subject to conditions established by the Trustees provided however, in making any investment of contributions or accounts under this section, the Trustees shall be fully entitled to rely upon the investment directions by the Participants.

Examples of Participant Directed Investments in a sentence

  • The amounts so allocated pursuant to this Section shall be invested in the same manner and percentages as the Monarch Participant’s other Participant Directed Investments.

  • For ------------------------------------------------------- purposes of determining the Net Adjustment, any designation made by Participant to allocate or re-allocate amounts between the subaccounts or any selection of Participant Directed Investments in the self-directed subaccount shall be effective for purposes of this Plan only prospectively as of the first day of the calendar quarter beginning not sooner than fifteen (15) days following receipt by Standard of a written directive from Participant.

Related to Participant Directed Investments

  • Restricted Investment means an Investment other than a Permitted Investment.

  • Restricted Investments means all Investments except the following:

  • Investment Funds means all monies and financial resources available for investment by the Authority, other than proceeds of bonds issued by the Authority.

  • Investment Options means the investment options, as determined from time to time by the Committee, used to credit earnings, gains and losses on Account balances.

  • Participant Contributions means contributions made by the Participant pursuant to an executed Pay Reduction Agreement subject to the Participant Contribution limits contained in Article III.

  • Discretionary Assets means (i) securities that, if distributed, would be required to be registered under the Securities Act of 1933, as amended; (ii) securities issued by entities in countries that (A) restrict or prohibit the holding of securities by non-nationals other than through qualified investment vehicles, or (B) permit transfers of ownership of securities to be effected only by transactions conducted on a local stock exchange; and (iii) any assets that, although they may be liquid and marketable, must be traded through the marketplace or with the counterparty to the transaction in order to effect a change in beneficial ownership."

  • Other Investments Account means the account established and maintained in the name of each Participant or Beneficiary to reflect his share of the Trust Fund, other than Company Stock.

  • Qualified Investments means any of the following if and to the extent permitted by law:

  • covered investment means, with respect to a Party, an investment in its territory of an investor of the other Party in existence as of the date of entry into force of this Treaty or established, acquired, or expanded thereafter.

  • Investment Option means any of the guaranteed investments and variable investment funds available under the Plan.

  • Liquid Investments means (a) readily marketable direct full faith and credit obligations of the United States of America or obligations unconditionally guaranteed by the full faith and credit of the United States of America; (b) commercial paper issued by (i) any Lender or any Affiliate of any Lender or (ii) any commercial banking institutions or corporations rated at least P-1 by Moody’s or A-1 by S&P; (c) certificates of deposit, time deposits, and bankers’ acceptances issued by (i) any of the Lenders or (ii) any other commercial banking institution which is a member of the Federal Reserve System and has a combined capital and surplus and undivided profits of not less than $250,000,000 and rated Aa by Moody’s or AA by S&P; (d) repurchase agreements which are entered into with any of the Lenders or any major money center banks included in the commercial banking institutions described in clause (c) and which are secured by readily marketable direct full faith and credit obligations of the government of the United States of America or any agency thereof; (e) investments in any money market fund which holds investments substantially of the type described in the foregoing clauses (a) through (d); (f) readily and immediately available cash held in any money market account maintained with any Lender; provided that, such money market accounts and the funds therein shall be unencumbered and free and clear of all Liens and other third party rights other than a Lien in favor of the Administrative Agent pursuant to the Security Documents; and (g) other investments made through the Administrative Agent or its Affiliates and approved by the Administrative Agent. All the Liquid Investments described in clauses (a) through (d) above shall have maturities of not more than 365 days from the date of issue.

  • Authorized Investments means: any investment which may be authorized by the Commission but does not include restricted investments as specified in the Offering Documents from time to time.

  • Discretionary Account means a Personal Account in which you have completely turned over decision-making authority to a professional money manager (who is not a Family Member or not otherwise covered by this Code) and you have no direct or indirect influence or control over the account. (Such Discretionary Accounts are often referred to as “professionally managed,” “controlled” or “managed” accounts.)

  • Elective Deferral Account means the account established hereunder to which Elective Deferrals (including a separate accounting for Catch-Up Contributions) are allocated. Amounts in the Participant's Elective Deferral Account are nonforfeitable when made and are subject to the distribution restrictions of Section 12.2(e). The Elective Deferral Account may consist of the

  • Widely Held Fixed Investment Trust as that term is defined in Treasury Regulations section 1.671-5(b)(22) or successor provisions.

  • Permitted Investment means an Investment by the Company or any Restricted Subsidiary in:

  • Employer Stock means any class of common stock of Quest Diagnostics or the preferred stock of Quest Diagnostics that is convertible into common stock.

  • Qualified Matching Contributions means Matching Contributions which are immediately nonforfeitable when made, and which would be nonforfeitable, regardless of the age or service of the Employee or whether the Employee is employed on a certain date, and which may not be distributed, except upon one of the events described under Section 401(k)(2)(B) of the Code and the regulations thereunder.

  • Deferral Contributions are Salary Reduction Contributions and Cash or Deferred Contributions the Employer contributes to the Trust on behalf of an Eligible Employee, irrespective of whether, in the case of Cash or Deferred Contributions, the contribution is at the election of the Employee. For Salary Reduction Contributions, the terms "deferral contributions" and "elective deferrals" have the same meaning.

  • Rollover Contributions means, for any Participant, his rollover contributions as provided in Section 7.1.

  • Rollover Contribution Account means the separate Account maintained for a Member to record such Member's share of the Trust Fund attributable to any Rollover Contribution made to the Plan on his behalf.

  • Member contributions means all amounts paid to ASRS by a member.
