PCI Assessment definition

PCI Assessment means any written demand against the Merchant, Global Payments or acquiring bank by the card network for monetary assessments or fines due to the Merchant’s non-compliance with accepted PCI Data Security Standards resulting in an incident at the Merchant level.

PCI Assessment. Means monetary amounts that you are legally obligated to pay under card scheme operating rules including, but not limited to, those issued by VISA, MasterCard, Diners Club, American Express or JCB for the recovery of costs incurred by the card scheme, issuing banks or acquiring banks to replace payment cards that have been compromised as part of a payment card breach and to refund fraudulent transactions that resulted from that payment card breach.
