Level One definition

Level One. The aggrieved professional staff member shall first present a written statement of the grievance to his/her appropriate superior within ten (10) school days after the event on which the grievance is based. There shall be a meeting within five (5) school days of the receipt of the grievance. The written answer shall be presented to the grievant with a copy to the PR&R chairperson within five (5) school days of the meeting. Level Two: In the event that the grievance is not disposed of to the satisfaction of the aggrieved person at Level One, or in the event that no decision is rendered within ten (10) school days after initial presentation of the grievance, the aggrieved professional staff member may, within five (5) school days after the expiration of said ten (10) school days, submit the grievance in writing to the Superintendent of Schools. The Superintendent or other Central Office Administrator shall meet with the aggrieved person and representatives of the LEA within ten (10) school days after receipt of the dispute in an effort to settle the grievance. The Superintendent shall give his/her written answer to the grievant with a copy to the PR&R chairperson within five (5) school days of the Level Two meeting. Level Three: If a grievance shall not have been disposed of to the satisfaction of the aggrieved professional staff member at Level Two, or no decision has been rendered, within five (5) school days after the level Two meeting, the aggrieved professional staff member may, within ten (10) school days thereafter give written notice to the School Committee, signed by the professional staff member and Chairperson of the Professional Rights and Responsibilities Committee of the LEA, reciting the intermediate steps taken and resubmitting a copy of the written statement of grievance. At its next regular meeting, or at a special meeting called for the purpose of considering the grievance either of which will be held within fifteen (15) school days after presentation of the grievance to the School Committee, the School Committee shall meet with the aggrieved person, the Chairperson of the Professional Rights and Responsibilities Committee or his/her designee, and the Superintendent, or other Central Office Administrator(s) in an effort to settle the grievance. Level One. The aggrieved professional employee shall first discuss the grievance with his/her principal or immediate supervisor in an informal conference. Those present at the level one informal conference will be the principal or assistant principal and the grievant.

More Definitions of Level One

Level One means full compliance in that the electronic file submitted by the publisher can be converted into any needed specialized format.
Level One. The employee shall first take up the grievance with the immediate supervisor, and the Association Representative shall be given an opportunity to be present at a time to be fixed by mutual agreement of the parties.
