Public Procurement means the acquisition by any means of goods, works or services by the government;
Public project means any of the following:
Public Property means any and all property owned by the City or held in the name of the City by any of the departments, commissions or agencies within the City government.
RFP Process or “Bidding Process” means the process governing the submission and evaluation of the Bids as set out in the RFP itself;
Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) means the Government Agency responsible for oversight of public procurement.
Public procurement unit means either a local public procurement unit or a state public procurement unit.
Public garage means a building or other place where vehicles or vessels are kept and stored and where a charge is made for the storage and keeping of vehicles and vessels.
Local public procurement unit means any political subdivision or unit thereof which expends public funds for the procurement of supplies, services, or construction.
Public park means an area of land for the enjoyment of the public, having facilities for rest and/or recreation, such as a base- ball diamond or basketball court, owned and/or managed by a city, county, state, federal government, or metropolitan park district. Pub- lic park does not include trails.
Public Key means the key of a key pair used to verify a digital signature and listed in the Digital Signature Certificate;
Public premises means any hotel, restaurant, tavern, store, arena, hall, or other place of public accommodation, business, amusement, or resort.
Public highway means a public highway, road, street, avenue, alley, or thoroughfare of any kind, or a bridge, tunnel, or subway used by the public.
Public Xxxxxx shall have the meaning assigned to such term in Section 10.01(f).
public transport means a vehicle operated by a passenger transport company or by a bus company in the provision of a public transport service;
Public land means land owned by the federal government, the state, or political subdivisions of the state and land acquired or developed for public recreation pursuant to section 321I.8.
Process or “Processing” means any operation or set of operations which is performed upon the Personal Data, whether or not by automatic means, such as collection, recording, organization, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available, alignment or combination, blocking, erasure, or destruction.
Public nuisance means a building that is a menace to the public health, welfare, or safety, or that is structurally unsafe, unsanitary, or not provided with adequate safe egress, or that constitutes a fire hazard, or is otherwise dangerous to human life, or that in relation to the existing use constitutes a hazard to the public health, welfare, or safety by reason of inadequate maintenance, dilapidation, obsolescence, or abandonment. “Public nuisance” includes buildings with blighting characteristics as defined by Iowa Code section 403.2.
Regulatory Proceeding means a request for information, civil investigative demand or civil proceeding commenced by service of a complaint or similar proceeding brought by or on behalf of the Federal Trade Commission, Federal Communications Commission, or any federal, state, local or foreign governmental entity in such entity's regulatory or official capacity in connection with such proceeding.
public purpose means any of the purposes for which land may be reserved under Part 4 of the Land Administration Act 1997, and any purpose declared by the Governor pursuant to that Act, by notification in the Government Gazette to be a public purpose within the meaning of that Act;
Public use means a publicly owned project or a privately owned project that is available for use by the public.
Biological diversity means the variability among living organisms from all sources including, inter alia, terrestrial, marine and other aquatic ecosystems and the ecological complexes of which they are part; this includes diversity within species, between species and of ecosystems.
Public lands ’ means (A) all lands under the cus- tody and control of the Secretary of the Interior and the Secretary of Agriculture, except Indian lands, (B) lands under the custody and control of the Tennessee Valley Authority that are situated in western Ken- tucky and Tennessee and are designated as ‘‘Land Be- tween the Lakes,’’ and (C) lands under the custody and control of the Secretary of Defense;
Public works project means the erection, construction, alteration, repair, or improvement of any public structure, building, road, or other public improvement of any kind.
Liquidation Process Regulations means, the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (Liquidation Process) Regulations 2016 as amended from time to time;
Public improvement means projects for construction, reconstruction or major renovation on real property by or for a public agency. “Public Works” shall mean roads, highways, buildings, structures and improvement of all types, the construction, reconstruction, major renovation or painting of which is carried on or contracted for by any public agency to serve the public interest by does not include the reconstruction or renovation of privately owned property which is leased by a public agency.
Public-private partnership means an arrangement or agreement, occurring on or after January 1, 2017, between a procurement unit and one or more contractors to provide for a public need through the development or operation of a project in which the contractor or
